Okay, I think I have to come to terms with the fact that it might just be a party. The house and yard are cleaned and the decorations are up. My refrigerator is so stocked full for food I can’t get to anything and I have been eating Eggos for the past two meals. Not complaining about the Eggos though, they are pretty awesome, but I do need to fit into my party dress.

Memoirs of an Outlaw: Life in the Sandbox
Robert M. Tanner III
(42 Reviews)
Genre: History | Biographies & Memoirs
FREE for a limited time
In Fallujah, during a particularly difficult time in the Iraq War, a group of Marines are deployed on a tour that will bring them closer together, while threatening to tear them apart. The Delta Company Outlaws are a group of Light Armored Reconnaissance Marines deployed in 2004 to one of the most hostile war zones in the world. Through the memoirs of one Marine, this touching story encapsulates the drama surrounding everyday life during the Iraq War. With a bond formed through blood, sweat, and tears, a group of unfamiliar Marines will come together stronger than family.
Memoirs of an Outlaw: Life in the Sandbox is a dramatic new take on the Iraq War that focuses more on the personal aspects of war rather than exclusively on combat. With a touching approach to the camaraderie, daily life, and devastating losses, this enlightening memoir by Robert M. Tanner delves into the brotherhood that’s formed throughout a deployment while documenting the combat experiences and daily life of a Marine. Using personal experiences, this engaging story hooks readers with drama, action, and honesty while painting an illuminating picture of both the funny and tragic sides of war.
Inspired by a bond that’s stronger than blood, Memoirs of an Outlaw began as a therapeutic way to document wartime experiences and eventually led to a full-fledged memoir. Deciding to focus on the daily life and camaraderie of war, the story captures the tension, drama, and bonding that comes with combat and living in a hostile environment far away from home. By focusing on the humanistic side of the armed forces, Memoirs of an Outlaw perfectly captures a unique moment in time during an extraordinarily challenging part of the war.

Up all night delivering babies, Dr. Sanders is summoned to the ER to see a young pregnant woman possibly in premature labor.Within minutes, the back doors of the emergency room burst open and paramedics rush in a late twenties Jane Doe, clinging to life after being run down while jogging.
A side-long glance is all it takes for Dr. Sanders to recognize the victim as her brother’s former fiancee and long time family friend.Of course, it could be Kara’s twin sister Sara, but based on a recent conversation with Kara-a conversation Dr. Sanders promised to keep secret against her better judgment- the chances of that are slim.

Suddenly he is no longer a tyrant, but a diligent man risking his entire livelihood to provide for his family. Deep Down: A Jack Reacher Story
Lee Child
(1,110 Reviews)
Genre: Mystery, Thriller & Suspense
In thriller master Lee Child’s exclusive eBook short story, Jack Reacher must track down a spy in soldier’s clothing—by matching wits with four formidable females. Three are clean—but the fourth may prove fatal.
Includes a thrilling preview of Lee Child’s hotly anticipated Jack Reacher novel, A Wanted Man!
Summoned by Military Intelligence to Washington, D.C., Reacher is sent undercover. The assignment that awaits him: The army is meeting with its Capitol Hill paymasters for classified talks on a new, state-of-the-art sniper rifle for U.S. forces. But vital details about the weapon are leaking—straight from the Capitol and probably into the hands of unidentified foreign arms dealers. The prospect of any and every terrorist, mercenary, or dictator’s militia getting their hands on the latest superior firepower is unthinkable. That’s where Reacher comes in. His task: infiltrate the top-secret proceedings and smoke out the mole. His target: a quartet of high-powered Army political liaison officers—all of them fast-track women on their way to the top.
According to his bosses, it’s a zero-danger mission. No need to draw a gun . . . just chat over drinks. But Reacher knows that things are rarely what they seem. And he’s learned the hard way never to underestimate an opponent. Or four. Lessons that will come in handy when he starts digging for the truth—and gets his hands a lot dirtier than he expected.
