From park open to park close. That is how long we spent at the boardwalk yesterday and I am neat, but it was so well worth it. I love spending time with the kids and hubby. It’s times like these I feel like I am actually seeing them and not just rushing them off to school or some sort of sports practice. I realized I better hold on to these moments tightly. While we were bowling my oldest basset was watching a cute girl bowl in the lane next to us. He changed the moment he saw her. He began acting more macho and stood a little taller. She was easily 13 years older. Oh I am in trouble.

My November Halloween

My November Halloween takes place in house that was in my family for generations. As a child, this house belonged to my grandmother and it spooked the hell out of me. When I was nine years old, my immediate family moved away taking me from all I had ever known. Years later, I returned to that house under circumstances that made me carry back years of guilt and regret. But, something was waiting for me in that house…..
Being forced to move as a child took away everything I was accustomed to. Friends and relatives were all taken out of my world. The heartache of the separation haunted me for years. Slowly, time seemed to heal the heartbreak of missing friends and family. What was really happening was that time dulled my longing for my old life. Guilt hit me for years because it was hard to tell the difference between being healed emotionally and no longer missing my loved ones.
Imagine years after you have seemingly healed from a broken childhood that you return back into the fold with newly charged emotions combined with those lost feelings resurfacing even stronger than ever. It feels like your mind is playing tricks on you. How far will your imagination travel while under the heartbreak of losing someone close to you? I had aged over the years, but it seemed like time had stood still in my old town. Memories and feelings that I had long forgotten about came flooding back to me like nothing had changed. What happened in the hours ahead was something that most do not experience in their lifetime let alone believe it to be possible.
As you can see, this is not just a ghost story. This is my story. You may have experienced situations similar to mine and I invite you to read this book to find out what finally put me at peace with everything.
After these events, I was left with these questions and thoughts that are not meant to be answered by any person…
When people leave this world, do they really leave? Is there a way for those who have left us to still be active in our lives? But most importantly what is their purpose? Are they there to help us in our lives, to guide us, to correct us, or even to punish us?
We have all heard the the stories about people catching glimpses of ghosts out of the side of their vision. Or they get silhouettes appearing right in front of their eyes. They can be overcome with feelings that seem to be from a dream. Sometimes you hear stories of people seeing reflections in the TV when the screen is dark. Or they catch sight of a black smoky mist in the shape of a person appearing right in front of them.
I have always wondered about our journeys in life. If they really end when we “die” or if we continue on but just on a different level or in another realm. I never had any proof of this either way but just because someone is no longer alive that doesn’t necessarily mean they are really dead and gone. I’ve heard a lot of ghost stories. But, there was only one way for me to be convinced…
Please check out the story of an unforgettable Halloween and the events that continued into the following day.

A Fast Fun Fix for the Whole Family!
This is an idea book…full of clever ways to engage your family on the spur of the moment without having to plan ahead or get organized. These games are all indoor games–for in the car, at the dinner table, in the living room, in a waiting room, before bed, etc. Of course, you can play them outside, too.
You will know some of these games already—maybe you played them as a kid. But there will be some you don’t know, and many you haven’t thought about in a few years. The book offers the convenience of having a collection all in one place, where you can pull ideas quickly.
Unlike encyclopedias of 100’s of games, these are the 28 best, fastest, and easiest ways to play with your family spontaneously! These games require no planning, no deciding what to do, no long explanation of rules.
For my kids, spontaneous works best because then there’s no discussion or argument, no chance for busy kids to say no. Each game can last as little as 3 minutes or as long as 30 minutes…enough time to engage your busy family, if only for a few precious moments!
