Speaking of turkeys it would seem that a gang of turkeys is taking over the downtown. Every day on the way to drop the baby bassets off at school I see a gang of about 5 or six turkeys hanging out in the same spot. For some reason they are quite popular, enough so that there are always people taking pictures of them. For the life of me I can’t imagine why. This place is infested with turkeys. They roam all over the place and they are a nuisance. They jump in front of your car, poop everywhere and destroy the yards they hang out in. Why then are these five so popular? I will say that there is one male that always fluffs up his feathers when a camera pops out, so that’s kinda cool. He must be very narcissistic.

In the hills of West Virginia, Elizabeth Fielding finds herself in a mid-life crisis. Her entire world has turned upside down and she is left pondering what, exactly, her purpose in life truly is. On her son’s suggestion, she escapes to Holmes County, Ohio and finds herself living on an Amish farm. While she tries to regain a life that has been lost, she finds herself gaining a lot more than she ever previously had. An unexpected friendship with Mary Troyer proves to be pivotal in how Elizabeth views the world around her, this time with the wisdom and insight of an Amish woman, rather than the demands and expectations of a world filled with work, demands, and hardships.
