I told myself I could get two new baby chicks if I cleaned out the garage. Well…the garage is clean, sooo….. I’ll tell you what the issue is. The chicks are quite cute and very easy to care for, but the risk of getting roosters is about 10% and I tend to get he 10%, 90% of the time. We can’t have roosters in my area and usually the fate of the rooster is not a good one. I was lucky in the past. I had a friend that took the roosters for herself to raise and guard her hens, but now she moved away. I could always get older ones that we know for sure are hens, but then I would miss out on the cute fluffy chick stage. OH DECISIONS!!! This is when I just throw my hands in the air and have a bagel.
