It would be crazy, insulting and just plain wrong for me not to wish a HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to all the mothers of fur, scale, and feather babies! Thank you for all the times you took your fur babies for walks even when it was raining. For all the times you rolled out of bed in the morning and stepped in that slimy puddle. Thank you for giving our little critters the forever home they so desperately needed. Thank you for the cuddles and the love. Fur, feather, and scale moms have all made such a huge difference in our little critters lives that I so want to say thank you and Happy Mothers Day!

LOOKING FOR THE PAST…
Ellie Connor is a biographer with a special talent for piecing together fragments of the past. Her latest project, though, promises to be her most challenging-and personal. Not only is she researching the life of a blues singer who disappeared mysteriously forty years ago, but Ellie is also trying to find the truth about the parents she never knew. The love child of a restless woman who died young and an anonymous father, Ellie has little to go on but a faded postcard her mother sent from a small East Texas town-the hometown of her latest subject.
COULD MEAN FINDING HER FUTURE
It is there that Ellie meets Blue Reynard, a man with deep roots and wide connections who may help her find answers. With a piercing gaze and cool grin, Blue is as sultry and seductive as the Southern night air. Beneath his charming surface, however, lies a soul damaged by loss. Despite her better judgment, Ellie finds herself irresistibly drawn to Blue’s passion-and his pain. But Ellie’s been lured by sweet talk and hot kisses before. How can she possibly stay with Blue when every instinct tells her to run?

The Jew with the Iron Cross
Jack Hillgate
(28 Reviews)
Genre: Historical Fiction | Thrillers | War | World Literature
FREE for a limited time
A bilingual out-of-work British actor is offered a movie role in Germany just before World War Two. His Nazi employers have no idea that he’s Jewish as well as British and when war breaks out his fate is inextricably linked to Hitler’s favourite, the ice-queen of German cinema Eva Wendt as well as the SS, for whom, as a German movie star, he becomes their poster boy and propaganda puppet. Moving swiftly from pre-war London through Nazi Germany and spitting out its protagonist into post-war Hollywood, Hillgate’s masterpiece is a swift-moving Bildungsroman, an erudite, concise allegory for the hypocrisy inherent in Nazi ideals and superstitions and their failure to overcome the essence of the human spirit. Meticulously researched and well-presented, based on true events but fictional, this is the story of what could have happened and raises the question of whether or not Hillgate’s protagonist has behaved morally, amorally or immorally.

Welcome to another Lone Pine Western by award-winning author, Mark Stephen Taylor.
Moon of the White Wolf, an untold tale of the High Sierra, 1874, is a journey amidst the heartbeat of the High Sierra; Lone Pine California and Mount Whitney — the highest mountain in the contiguous U.S.A. This is a continuation of the legend of the great, white wolf, first introduced in the author’s work, Still Waters: Legend of the White Wolf. In this enduring sequel, the town of Lone Pine and surrounding ranches, as well as the village of the Shoshone, are threatened by an attack from the Paiute tribe to the south. This of course disrupts the ordinary lives of the story’s characters, but when the great white wolf returns to the area under a harvest moon, there is indeed great hope. However, not all believe in the legendary white wolf. Yet, during the human struggle for understanding, a memorable cast of characters lives are brought together in an unforgettable way in this great story of the early west. The outcome is most profound. Enjoy!
