The time is coming fast to finally put the baby chicks in the coop with my sweet ladies. Nowadays they spend their entire day in a pen outside next to the ladies, so that they will get used to each other. I know once they are all together they will go through the unpleasantness of establishing the pecking order. My hope is that blood won’t be shed. I remember going through this before, introducing Jackie and Summer to Heather and Naughty. It went quite smoothly and I hope the same happens with the chicks. I shouldn’t call them chicks anymore though. They are almost the size of Heather and Naughty.

Sam Tynnan is convinced that with his latest novel, The Prophecy – a unique interweaving of ancient prophecies with current-day Islamic terrorism – he’s written the thriller of the year. But when he finds himself targeted, he realizes that some people are determined to bury what’s he’s written. Adel Al-Shaffir, Egyptian-born, heads an Arabic language ‘activity’ tracking centre at the forefront of hunting down the world’s leading terrorist, Abu Khalish. But as Tynnan’s manuscript starts being played out in real-life with a chain of bomb attacks and his path collides with Al-Shaffir’s, the question begs: could what Tynnan’s written be used to avoid the prophesied Armageddon of his manuscript? Or are both of them merely being used as bit players in that script, a terrifying odyssey in which ultimate conflict is unavoidable. A case of art mirroring life or life mirroring art? – with the stakes as never before.

As Black Tuesday triggers financial despondency, three young couples in New York City must trade their lives of luxury for poverty, tragedy, and setbacks.

When Jonathan Garrett’s brokerage firm collapses on the day of the Stock Market Crash, he unites with his closest friends (and former business partners), Aryl and Caleb, to relocate, track down a low-paying job, and cultivate a new life. As the three men toil in their laborious jobs, their wives, Ava, Arianna, and Claire, slowly adapt to life in a shabby, rundown apartment, learning to sew, cook, and clean. With the help of their former, outspoken, Irish maid, Maura, and a new, equally Irish friend, Shannon, the wives become even closer than before. The couples’ rocky path leads to more turmoil, however, when a business rival, Victor Drayton, creates one disaster after another. From petty tricks to outright violence, Victor’s nefarious mind will stop at nothing to beat down Jonathan’s last glimmer of hope. Despite everything, Jonathan and his friends are fixated on surviving. Emotional and financial destruction nip at their heels, until finally, with a lucky twist of fate, they escape city life and begin anew in their hometown of Rockport, Massachusetts.

A story set in the past, 1929 is full of romance, drama, and humor. Vivid, expertly crafted characters make this novel more than memorable — 1929 is unforgettable.

Weight Watchers: Revisited An Introduction to Safe and Effective Dieting The central philosophy of the Weight Watchers diet plan is to assist people in their journey of safe weight loss through healthier eating habits. Although exercise is not explicitly mentioned in a lot of literature, Weight Watchers also advocates for a planned program of exercise in order to complement the work that is done through calorie control. Women remain some of the most enthusiastic followers of this plan primarily because it operates on a principle of achievable targets. There are no foods that are banned. All that is required is eating in moderation so it becomes easy to incorporate the plan into your daily life. Ultimately you lose weight by creating what is known as a calorie deficit. In truth this is easier said than done since many of us have been conditioned to overeat as part of a consumerist society. Nevertheless the plan is credited with creating a healthy alternative to the starvation programs which have been associated with ill health in various forms including anorexia. The program has been praised for being compatible with other dieting plans thus making it easier for people to switch when appropriate. It mainly differs from other plans in as far as Weight Watchers focuses on the amount consumed rather than the range of foods whereas the alternatives control both the amounts and types of foods. What You Are Going To Learn • An Old Diet for a New Age • Weight Loss Programs and Plans • Dieting and Enjoying the Programs • Understanding the Depth and Breadth of the Diet • Menus, Schedules and Adherence • Dos and Don’ts • Getting Organized • Budgeting and Finances • And Much More! Weight Watchers Revisited: An Introduction to Safe and Effective Dieting.
