I can’t stop eating cookies…. or ice cream. For some crazy reason I feel like I still have credits I can use from all the exercise I did at Tough Mudder last weekend. You get credit, right? I am pretty sure I have enough credit left to have some cake. My stretchy pants say that I am just fine and to go ahead and enjoy myself since I earned all the credit.

April 28, 1969. The future looks bleak for the baby girl asleep on top of her father’s boxer shorts in the laundry basket, but she doesn’t seem to notice. At the moment, Charlene Rae Bucher is blissfully unaware that she will spend her formative years living inside an aluminum camper with a disinterested, dope-smoking father and a vacant, vodka-loving mother. Her extended family will consist of a bunch of equally uninspired adults who park their campers alongside the Buchers. She is truly an unlucky baby. But babies grow up, and the teenage Farrah Fawcett wannabe stuffs her bra and learns what she can about life within the chain-link fence of Creek’s Edge Campground. A lesson learned inside a rubber tractor tire forces Charlene to grow up quickly–even when no one else around her will. With the help of the retired Methodist minister on site 11A and some eccentric people she meets outside Creek’s Edge, Charlene begins to see that there’s more to life than getting the high score on Donkey Kong. Traveling through a maze of misunderstandings, chance meetings, and new discoveries, eighteen year-old Charlene begins to build a life of her own that isn’t on wheels.
American Gypsy Girl is a humorous novel of the dysfunction, friendships, lies, and loves that make up one girl’s pursuit of the American Dream.

Imagine if you were the first and only female police detective in Acapulco, investigating crime in a city both deadly and breathtaking. Mexican drug cartels battle for control and politicians are bought with blood money. Your partner once vowed to destroy you. Your new lieutenant is a drunk. Your lover might leave Acapulco. And then the restaurant you just left blows up. That’s the situation for Detective Emilia Cruz in HAT DANCE, the second book in the sensational police procedural series taking the mystery scene by storm.
Terrified by her nightmares of the restaurant fire and shaken by norteamericano hotel manager Kurt Rucker’s possible move, Emilia must catch a violent firebomber and find a missing girl before the iconic beach city is destroyed. Neither investigation is easy, because the influence and impact of Mexico’s drug war is everywhere, just like the salt breeze coming off the ocean. Emilia’s police work is soon hijacked by savage political rivalries, a corrupt Vice cop, and a woman in prison who knows more than she’ll say. As Acapulco screams for an end to the flames, the arsonist evades Emilia’s sting operation. Meanwhile, the missing girl’s trail leads to Acapulco’s famous lucha libre fighters. Inside the coliseum, the heat of both investigations ignites into an inferno. If Emilia’s only chance to survive is to dance with the devil, will she take it? Would you?

Dragon Thief

Genre: Fantasy | Teen & Young Adult | Mythology & Folk Tales

Kal was not a thief. He certainly did not intend to steal any dragon’s treasure. He was an adventurer. Avid art collector. Incurable wealth adjuster and risk-taker. Kal had legendary expertise in the security arrangements of palaces and noble houses the world over. He hankered for remote, craggy mountaintops and the dragon hoards he might find hidden beneath them. Besides, what harm was there in looking? Dragon gold was so… shiny. Most especially, he was not planning for any treasure to steal him. That was a little awkward, to say the least.
Author’s Note Dragon Thief is a standalone novel set in an unforgettable world of powerful, majestic dragons, and follows the timeline of the bestselling dragon books Dragonfriend, The Pygmy Dragon and Aranya. Prepare to wing away to a world of deep dragon lore, magical landscapes and fiery adventure. Content Advisory YA and above. Recommended 16+ for some non-graphic adult banter and situations, mild and infrequent nudity. Reads at an ‘older’ level than Aranya or The Pygmy Dragon but is still a clean read in keeping with all of my books. Moderate battle violence.
