Today is hopefully the last vet visit with Henry I have to make. Poor little guinea pig. When I got him he had a terrible ear infection that was causing him so much pain, and the infection also caused him to have a permanent tilt to his head. He doesn’t seem to mind the tilt, so I try not to comment on it too much in front of him. The part I am really sad about is that this may have hurt our relationship. Right from the beginning I had to grab him out of his cage every day, twice a day, and give him two different kinds of medicine. I don’t think that is a good way to make friends with a guinea pig. I tried to butter him up with treats like carrots and lettuce, but he still had to deal with weekly vets visits and daily grabbing. Hopefully a clean bill of health will be a fresh start in our relationship.
