My extra fluffy kitty Sinny, and my old pup Jethro, are a united front of grumpy old men against the small and way too happy Junebug. Junebug is not currently aware of their opinion of her, and quite frankly I don’t think they are even sure what their opinion is either. Sinny and Jethro both get that she is extra small and is not really a big threat, and all they have to do is either get to a slightly higher spot or just stand up and she can’t get to them. Even when she is able to get to their faces, she is cautious. Except when she is full of beans and running around the house like a little fireball. I watched her boop Sinny on the nose so fast that before we all registered what she did, she was gone running down the hall again. Sinny was a bit shocked, but not mad. Jethro saw what was going on and began the long slow process of standing up to avoid the same cute attack. This time he was successful, but I know Junebug will have a shot at him as well.

Perfume chemist Josh Stevens has spent years making a life for himself in New York City and climbing up the corporate ladder of Kiss and Makeup, a global cosmetics company. Though his cousin, Emma, whips up soul mate predictions with their late grandmother’s pink enchanted mixing spoon each Monday during Batter Up night, he’d rather experiment with vanilla perfume oil than vanilla extract any day. Buttermilk Falls and magic are not for him.
Little did he know that a run in last summer with the one woman from his hometown he’s tried all these years to forget would turn his bachelor life upside down and bring him back for good.
Caitlin Reynolds just needs a second chance. Sure, she’s done some questionable things in the past, but as the new owner of the Majestic Theater she is determined to turn her life around, contribute to the town’s livelihood, and prove to all of Buttermilk Falls that she’s more than the spoiled rich girl who got pregnant.
While Josh and Caitlin adjust to their new normal, they begin to realize just how strong their feelings are for one another. But are they destined for each other? A ghost who likes to roam the Majestic theater in a wedding dress and watch classic movies might be able to answer that.

Tomb Of The Lost 2015 Edition (Peter Dennis Trilogy)
by Julian Noyce
(112 Reviews)
Genre: Action & Adventure | Historical Fiction
FREE for a limited time
This is the 2015 edition of Tomb of the Lost, the first in the Peter Dennis series.
This edition was published on 1st Jan 2015, some of the reviews posted before this date will not be relevant.
This edition of the novel is also 36,000 words shorter than the previous book with much of the Julius Caesar portion changed due to new theories on his time in Egypt and also to detract it from the similarities with the 1963 movie Cleopatra starring Elizabeth Taylor (Unfortunately Hollywood actually got the history right for once) and also corrected the other mistakes highlighted by reviewers. This much shorter version is also more flowing.
Tomb of the Lost is an action/adventure novel that covers two millennia.

Long Island Sound
by A. J. Hernandez
(25 Reviews)
Genre: Coming of Age | Literary Fiction
FREE for a limited time
Set in the angst and sprawl of teenage suburbia, Long Island Sound tells the story of Cal, his journey through high school, and the lives that intersect with his along the way. Of Celia, who dreams of escaping a life she never had any say in. Of Sharon, whose past holds dark secrets with wounds that don’t heal. And of Devon, Cal’s best friend, whose obsession with the true nature of their seemingly idyllic town drives them into fulfilling a childhood promise before it’s too late.
Both an homage to and upending of the classic coming-of-age high school narrative, Long Island Sound delivers a poignant, riveting vision of the alienated world we’ve erected and imposed over Nature. Grand in scope and intimate in detail, it is a story of dreams and nightmares; of hope and memory; of longing and nostalgia.
