It’s amazing what the power of coffee has over me. I have not wanted to leave my home since the fire started. I want to be close to my critters and ready to grab the most important things and leave at any moment. The fires are still going very strong and evacuations are making it crazy on the roads. Whole communities are moving from one to the next. They just get settled in, but then have to pick up and move to another place. We are asked to stay off the roads so evacuees can get around. The air quality is also so bad you can’t stay outside for very long at all. After a few minutes the headaches start and your lungs hurt. But I am out of half and half for my coffee. I need coffee. I can’t have coffee without half and half. So I must venture out. Oh.. and I need food to, but mostly I am worried about the half and half.

PLEASE NOTE: Although this book is part of the IRISH LOTTERY SERIES, there is no cliffhanger. It is true that the characters get older as the series progresses, but each book is a complete story, and can be enjoyed without having read the previous book.

Revenge may be a dish best served cold, but hardened mother of seven Fionnuala Flood plans on serving hers up frozen. Or so she thinks.

The bells are ringing out in Derry, Northern Ireland, as the dirt-poor Floods and the rich and entitled Riddells prepare for the pairing in matrimony of their families and a bridging of the gap between the two sniping communities. But some are not best pleased, and it might be more a case of For Whom The Bell Tolls.

What is the price to be paid for a mother’s love? For daughter Dymphna and son Lorcan, dangerously high. Fionnuala is already furious Dymphna has put her arch nemesis, Ursula Barnett, on the wedding list. Then beloved son Lorcan, fresh out of prison, announces he’s emigrating to the USA. He’ll get there. Unless Fionnuala gets her way.

In Wisconsin, Ursula and husband Jed will find a trip to Derry difficult, as Jed’s gambling has them teetering on the brink of bankruptcy. The last chance to save their floundering beef jerky business will be to appear on Attack of the Killer Investors! But Fionnuala has ripped up their invitation, in any event. When they hear shocking news of Dymphna’s death, getting the investment from the TV show is essential.

Throw in a rabble of geriatric religious fanatics, poisonous ham hocks, an X-rated wedding cake, a gown from Hell, mix with rivers of drink, intolerance, jealousy and shame, and you have Best Served Frozen, a rip-roaring tale jam-packed with dark humor.

Readers 18+

Welcome to The Demon Isle, where the supernatural world hides in plain sight.
Tourists want to believe the supernatural is real, and The Demon Isle delivers–from the moment they step off the ferry onto the nostalgia inducing lanterned streets straight off the pages of yesteryear, or wander down foggy cobblestone lane after lane lined with fortune tellers and magic shops, or take a haunted tour of the island in hopes of catching a glimpse of mythical creature belonging to a fantasy world.

Ghosts, vampires, werewolves, faeries, mermaids–the sightings are endless. And it’s the perfect cover. Because while tourists bask in the safety and delight of the possibility, the supernatural community is not only real, but thriving. And hiding right under the noses of tourists immersing themselves in the fantasy.

The locals know the truth.
They know the dangers that lurk around dark alleys and foggy beaches.
But they also know who to turn to if they need help.

The Howard Witches.
They’ve been protecting The Demon Isle and its inhabitants for many generations.

For Melinda Howard, the youngest sibling, dreaming about how people will die is never fun on a good day… but it’s her magical inheritance and one thing she cannot escape. Life and love, on the other hand, can wait, because she prefers the safety of her reclusive life and letting her brother’s handle the hands-on witching work.

Something Charlie Howard thrives on as the eldest sibling and unspoken leader of their coven. His physical strength and pure daring alone can usually get the job done quick. A job middle sibling, Michael, would prefer to live without as he wants to leave the Island and go to school.

Partly because, today, after tragically losing their parents while on the job, they are just three siblings doing the job that in previous generations was done by twenty or more. And even with Melinda’s dreams, Charlie’s strength, and Michael’s wits, it’s often no longer enough and they rely heavily on their mentor, William Wakefield–a four-hundred-year-old vampire who is also a dear family friend and long-time protector of the Howard Witches.

Is it time for the Howard legacy to end?
Hasn’t their family sacrificed enough?
Is it time to let someone else take over?
But who would want the job? A Howard Witch living to a ripe old age is a rare thing… William would know as he’s watched far too many Howard Witches die too young. And he fears this is not only the last days of the bloodline and the legacy, but the end of his purpose in this life as well.

But when Michael performs a death reading for the local sheriff to assist in a murder investigation, and Melinda has a prophetic dream about someone about to die, and the supernatural world threatens to consume them all and leave the island unprotected… a truth is revealed that will change everything.

The Howard Witches will have to make a choice.
Heed the call and find a way to fulfill their duty, or face a future in which they are no longer protectors of The Demon Isle and let the family legacy, end…
Wicked Good Witches is an episodic supernatural suspense series that’s heavy on romance and action and set on an island off the Coast of Maine. Please read in order.

Blast From The Past…

Blake Sanders thought he left his Midwestern past behind when he went to UW on a basketball scholarship more than 20 years earlier. But Keely Radcliffe drags it back into the present when she shows up on Blake’s stoop one morning to ask for his help.

Back then, Keely’s sister was killed in a lab explosion on a university campus in southern Illinois. Blake’s best friend Perry Langford was arrested and convicted of murder for setting the charge, but Langford always maintained his innocence, claiming someone else blew up the building. Not even Blake knows what really happened, and he was there, a secret he’s kept all this time. Now Langford is out of prison, and he’s gunning for all those he holds responsible for his 20-year stint in stir, including Blake.

A week later, Blake’s cop friend Charlie invites him to a backyard barbecue at his folks’ house. Masked gunmen burst in on the festivities before the two of them can even open a beer. Charlie and Blake manage to hold off the marauders, but Charlie is wounded, and when the smoke clears Charlie’s parents have vanished.

Events begin to snowball, putting Blake on the run from both the shooters and Langford, his childhood friend, and Blake realizes they’re all related. Soon the FBI and even naval intelligence officer Reyna Chase are on his tail, too. Whoever planted the bomb 20 years ago is cleaning up loose ends, and the prize they’re still seeking after all this time — a revolutionary battery design — is worth a fortune, even worth selling out one’s own country… and killing for.
