Oh Dear. Did I just break our new dishwasher? I am so not telling hubby. I tried closing it and walking away for am hour, but that didn’t work. No magic elves came around and fixed it. I tried Googling the error codes, but I am not finding anything for the codes its flashing. Of course I could look in the manual, but that requires going into the attic and looking through the huge box of manuals. I am not mentally there yet in my day. Hmm. Many years ago I worked in IT for a large insurance company. The running joke was to fix anything all you had to do was unplug it and plug it back in. Hold on…gonna try that (walks away… clears all the junk out from under the sink to get to the outlet in the far back of the cabinet. Finds box of cookies I hid, but then forgot about, and wonders if they are still good. Gets bothered by all the junk under sink when only two things are actually used. Starts cleaning out under sink, remembers that I was supposed to unplug the dishwasher, gets bothered that the plug is behind the garbage disposer. After much contorting gets it unplugged, but for some reason can’t plug back in because the world has twisted around and is never the same way twice. Curses.. finally plugs it back in. Motivation gone, so leaves all the stuff all over the kitchen floor. Dishwasher works! Turns back on mess and walks away.) Okay, it works and crisis is averted. I feel like a genius. Is someone going to clean that mess?
