You may remember me mentioning that I love sneaking a quick peek in other peoples open garages as I drive by in my neighborhood. It’s weird, I know, but I love seeing the man caves, or day dreaming about what treasures might be in all the boxes piled high up. I am not selfish, when the sun is out my garage door is open like everyone else’s. During the summer months most people have their garage doors open all the time, but in Winter they are shut tight. To get my fix during those cold bitter months I now turn to the Marketplace on Facebook. It is perfect! I don’t even have to act like I am not looking. I can sit in the comfort of my couch and check out all the cool stuff people don’t want. I miss the man caves, but this is sure to get me through the cold winter months.

For twenty long years, Gigi Goldstein has been pining away for her best friend’s guy. She knows it’s wrong and it has to stop, but she hasn’t been able to let go ever since they all met on the bus to summer camp back when they were seven years old. The same week that her best friends finally announce their wedding date, Gigi loses her high-profile design job. With all of her dreams unravelling, she runs to the last place she remembers being happy.

Taking the Head Counselor position at Camp Chinooka, Gigi hopes to reclaim the joy she felt as a camper, but the job isn’t all campfire songs and toasting marshmallows. Gigi’s girls are determined to make her look bad in front of the boys’ Head Counselor — the sexy but infuriating Perry — and every scrap of the campground is laced with memories.

When Gigi finally realizes she can’t escape the present by returning to her past, she’s forced to reexamine her life and find the true meaning of love. But will she be able to mend fences and forgive herself before she loses her one real shot at happiness?

Mail-Order Bride Ink! Mischief, Marriage and Mayhem, these mail-order brides have something to write about! Mrs. Pettigrew, of the Pettigrew Mail-Order Bride Agency sees to that! She likes to hear from all her brides and loves a happy ending. But to ensure her brides get one, she does things to help love along. Sometimes, however, those things don’t always go as planned…

Dear Mrs. Pettigrew,

I’ve reached my destination and I must say that the Washington territory is not what I expected, neither is my new husband for that matter. His family is huge, loud and boisterous! We haven’t had a moment’s peace since our wedding. I don’t mean to complain, but I wasn’t prepared to become a schoolteacher for seven children! Seven mischievous, prank-pulling, children no less. No, they are not my husband’s, (thank heaven). They belong to his older brother and his wife. In short, I should have been warned! He said nothing in his letters about any of this. I don’t know how much longer I can endure it. Please write back to me as soon as you can before I go mad!

Sincerely,
Ebba Weaver

Daniel Weaver was ready for a wife. His three older brothers had been married for several years and now it was his turn. So, like his brothers Arlan, Benjamin and Calvin, he sends for a mail-order bride, with a little help from their cousin Matthew of course. After all, he helped his brothers write their letters to their prospective brides, so why not him? But when the letter from his bride comes, it’s got more than her acceptance of his proposal written in it. Worse, it gets picked up and read by the town’s worst gossip, Nellie Davis.

Ebba Knudson can’t figure out why folks in her intended’s town of Nowhere would be giving her such odd looks. It was bad enough she had other things to deal with by coming to the Washington territory to marry a farmer, but now this? Was there something wrong with her future husband? Or just with her? Of which she knew there was plenty. Enough to make her think she might not get married at all…

Enjoy this sweet, historical, western romance and the first book in this laugh out loud new series!

Galaxy Man
by Mark Wayne McGinnis
4.6 Stars (79 Reviews)
Genre: Science Fiction | Science Fiction & Fantasy | Metaphysical

FREE for a limited time

The year is 2117. In the farthest reaches of Earth’s territorial space, a spree of depraved murders has local cattle ranchers fearing for their families. A fear, they will soon discover, that is more than justified.

Apparently, John Gallic’s reputation proceeded his arrival to the fringe-world of Muleshoe. A reputation suggesting he be given a wide berth. As the new Territory Abettor, commonly referred to as a Frontier Marshal, Gallic would be there for the long haul.

Formally titled Detective Chief Inspector of the Spatial Colonial Police — District 22 — he’d investigated only the highest profile murders and was a rising star within the department. But that life was in the past. Gallic now provided an assortment of backwater law enforcement services to the burgeoning deep-space frontier territories. Sure, there was an occasional smalltime crime to investigate, but more often than not Gallic spent his days — commissioned by the big Interstellar banks — repossessing billionaire ranchers’ high-priced spacecraft. A glorified repo man. He was fine with that. It gave him spare time to do the one thing more important than anything else — find the murderer of his wife and child.

Piloting his voluminous spacecraft, the Hound, Gallic arrives on Muleshoe expecting his latest assignment to be no different than the hundred other repo jobs he’s performed. Typically, no one gets in his way. Then a Vid-Message call comes in from D-22 — the Hammer and Nails Killer is at it again. Right there within the frontier worlds. Soon, Gallic would be chasing the very same cunning serial killer who, mercilessly, stole his once-perfect life away from him. The line between prey and predator becomes blurred and the Galaxy Man will have no problem sacrificing himself to kill a killer.
