I am going to the grocery stores today. It’s nowhere near as scary on the Monday before Thanksgiving, as it is on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. I am not a strong person..or brave. Sure, I can lift heavy objects and put them down, but I can’t fight over celery with a shopper on a mission. No way. Not celery. The Wednesday before Thanksgiving you will get cut for celery. No other time of the year will anyone think twice about celery, but the day before Thanksgiving those nasty stringy green sticks are worth as much as gold. So I will go today and lightly wrestle a person for celery. No punches are thrown on the Monday before Thanksgiving. Just a few evil glares and maybe a short tug of war. It would take months of training to survive Wednesday shopping and I just don’t have time for that.
