I had moved the swarm I caught last year to my partner in crime’s house a few days ago. I took a wild guess and blamed her for all the swarms coming into my yard. I might have actually been right. That does not happen very often, so I am going to enjoy this. While we were moving the swarm I caught on the roof the other day to a permanent box, last years swarm was acting crazy like she did at my house. None of the other hives were acting that way, just this one colony. I told my partner in crime a swarm was coming. She understandably doubted me, because after all these years we have had bees in her yard, swarms were very rarely if ever seen. Thirty minutes later the swarm arrived. I will say, it was a lot more enjoyable to see the swarm on her property with a few acres, than it was to see it at my house taking over my neighbors yards. I was also grateful that we were gifted a large amount of boxes from a gentleman who no longer was into beekeeping. We never would have been able to have a total of 11 colonies. We have one last box available. I get the feeling it will be occupied before the end of the week.
