Is it panic time already? Yesterday I went to Target to pick up some video games for my baby bassets for Christmas. When I told the gentleman who helped me, that they were for Christmas, he nodded and said it was a good idea to pick them up now, since they will go very fast this year. Really? My usually casual shopping trip flipped and I went into panic mode. Why was this year going to be so crazy? What other items should I grab now?? OH MY GOSH!!! AAAHHHH!!! Should I buy extra toilet paper? I immediately went searching for another item I knew my boys wanted. At first I couldn’t find it because the shelf where it is normally located was picked over. I headed to the register and realized the item was now located at the front of the store. I was about to walk right up to the shelf to grab it, but a man gave me a odd look. Not mean, just a “Hey… we are all waiting” kinda look. Then I noticed that a small crowd had gathered around and a stock person was loading the shelves. I hung back and waited. After the last box was loaded onto the shelf the employee said it was okay to grab what you wanted. The small group then approached the shelves… and emptied them. They were clearing out the shelves. I asked the one man if he saw a box I was looking for and he kindly grabbed me two. He was very nice and we chatted a bit, but the way he filled his cart gave me a bit of a panic. I left the store feeling good that I got the items I needed for Christmas, but as soon as I got home I made my Christmas list and went to work shopping online. Hubby thought I was nuts, but hubby doesn’t go out into the real world (Target) he doesn’t know the TRUTH!
