Today feels like the perfect day to start my two week New Years Resolution. I only do NYR for two weeks so that I am more likely to be successful at it. Most people quit their NYR after the first two weeks, and feel like failures. If you set a time limit then you are more likely to be successful, feel great about yourself, and maybe even extend it another week or two. I need to start mine early. I don’t fit into most of my pants right now. This is making sitting in anything other than sweatpants almost unbearable. Don’t get me wrong, the weight gain was WORTH IT! My friends and family are fantastic cooks, and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Right now is the best time to cut back a bit. Everyone seems to be a bit tired of celebrating, and just want to stay home and detox from all the sugar and rich food. Two weeks starting now. I feel like I am getting the homework assignment done early and will be able to go out and play sooner.

DEAD FUNNY – A killer collection of ballsy women and their stories.
DEAD FUNNY confirms that the world is as crazy and off-kilter as you always suspected. It’s an outrageous quartet of Noir-Ha-Ha short stories throbbing with dark humour and suspense. It focuses a dark satirical light on the lives of four very different, but equally ballsy women who cross a moral line to get what they want.
Annabel, a fast-fading celebrity, will do more or less any anything to remain popular… yep, ANYTHING, including an unintentional homicide! Best read with a cool drink. That’s CELEBRITY ROAST.
Tayla is the famously beautiful Aussie Supermodel from hell who finds herself in a lurid jam at the swish end of London. The King Rat of the paparazzi has a score to settle. What’s even tastier for him is that the deal they strike is over a dead body and their conspiracy of silence. But Tayla is one tough cookie, as he soon finds out in PAPARATZ, a Noir-Ha-Ha scum-fest.
Anita had a game plan until the day she became TRAPPED IN CLOUD CUCKOOLAND. Her life showcases the sleazier side of Switzerland. Forget cuckoo clocks, dirndls and yodelling. Just watch Anita’s initial fascination, her growing fantasy and then horror as her life melts down into a vintage, non-PC train wreck of a crime thriller with an ironic twist.
Robyn, the obsessed fan from FAN FATALE, is reaching for an impossible dream. Her dark plot is to befriend and live with the TV star she idolizes. The trap is set. But hold your breath.Think Psycho meets Fatal Attraction.
The bodies mount up in this dark comedy crime fest. Jinx James likes to call DEAD FUNNY “Noir-Ha-Ha at its feistiest”.

“Cade is the perfect book boyfriend.” — Jennifer L. Armentrout, #1 New York Times Bestselling Author
The last thing I need in my life is a Prince Charming in-training. I fought hard to escape the life I was born into, and I’ve gotten where I am without anyone’s help. I’m only seventy-six days away from college graduation, not to mention the future I’ve dreamed of for so long. I don’t need a hulking man covered in metal and ink to derail those plans, no matter how enticing he is.
But Cade Maxwell isn’t deterred by the walls I’ve erected around my heart.
He swoops into my life, all brash exterior with a heart of gold, strips away those walls as easily as he strips away my clothes, and plants himself in my life as if he’s always been there. The only reason I give into this explosive chemistry between us is the fact that we don’t have a future. He’s white picket fences and Sunday mornings in bed. I’m nothing more than broken dreams and secrets.
He swears he’s not giving up. But I’m not giving in.

Winner of AudioFile Earphones Award © AudioFile 2021
AudioFile says “Narrator Greg Tremblay re-creates the 1880s as President Grover Cleveland enlists Remy Kincaid, the son of carnies, to help with paranormal activities that are afflicting the American West. Listeners join Kincaid and his horse, Fable, who talks by thought speech, as they travel to Wharton, Texas, searching for kids who vanish, then reappear. Colorful descriptions of the town, its people, food, and gambling add atmosphere. Most appealing are Sheriff McCallister, who personifies the Wild West, and Fable, who advises, rebukes, and saves Kincaid in equal measure. Fascinating historical details, including a touching romance between Kincaid and the vivaciously rendered Dr. Maggie Brown, add interest. Tremblay’s gripping characterizations of inhuman mutations created by mysterious experiments make for a heart-pounding listen.”
In 1885, President Grover Cleveland commissioned a special group of agents to investigate paranormal activities plaguing the nation. Unwilling to accept failure, he granted each the authority to operate outside the law. His directive was simple. No rules. No excuses. Just get it done.
