Happy Thursday! A long time ago a friend of mine told me “If you want to have kids, you need to put bunny figurines around your house.” I get real nervous around Easter when all of my Easter Bunnies are out. I spend only a few seconds dusting them and only if I absolutely have to. I also feel like I should warn my female friends of the high level of bunny energy before they enter the house. It’s an odd thing to be worried about, but what if it’s true??

About Watchmen, Watchdogs and Watchcats
I don’t usually suffer from a fear of small spaces but after being locked inside a box in the attic along with my fellow cats, I must confess the experience wasn’t exactly a barrel of laughs. Especially when the person doing the locking up also decided to set the box on fire. So did we escape this harrowing adventure with our lives? And if so, how? I’d love to tell you, but then I’d be breaking the first rule of fiction: never give away the ending! So you’ll just have to read on to find out more.
And in so doing you’ll also discover all about Tex’s secret son, Gran’s latest neighborhood watch gambit, the suspicious death of one of Charlene Butterwick’s relatives, the new shopping mall a group of developers plan to build in Hampton Cove, the huge windfall Tex and Marge might receive soon, and the addition to the team of our very own bodyguard as well as a watchdog — not to mention a watchcat! As you can see, things are never boring in this small town of ours!

Meet Disaster (Winter Falls ~ Dempsey Sisters Book 1)
by D.E. Haggerty
(245 Reviews)
Genre: Romance
FREE for a limited time
Phoenix is NOT the man for me. He’s a loner who’s only pretending to date me until my ex gets the hint.
The small town of Winter Falls is my chance to reinvent myself. I have officially seen the backside of nervous and timid Gabrielle.
Or, I will have. Just as soon as I deal with the pesky matter of my ex who won’t stop blowing up my phone.
The residents of Winter Falls are not about to let me handle my ex by myself. Their solution is simple. I should live with Phoenix and pretend to be his girlfriend until my ex gets the memo.
There’s only one little problem with this scenario. I don’t want my relationship with Phoenix to be fake.
The goat farmer may be a grump and a loner, but when he smiles his brown eyes light up and two dimples pop out on his right cheek, grump is the furthest thing from my mind.
I should tell the people of Winter Falls to mind their own dang business, but I don’t. I’m shy, not stupid. A chance to be in close proximity to the man I want on a daily basis? Where do I sign up?
To my surprise, this fake relationship feels anything but fake once we’re spending all of our days together. Feather light touches, hair kisses, and scorching looks make me start to wonder.
Can we turn this fake relationship into something real?
This fake relationship small town romantic comedy features a shy woman who insists shy and timid aren’t the same thing, a goat farmer who needs to learn his lesson before he loses the girl, a goat named Pan that believes she’s a person and should be treated as such, a gaggle of sisters who think matchmaking is their true calling, and a whole town full of hippies who think being called a busybody is a compliment.

Jane Digby’s Diary: To Begin, Begin
by C.R. Hurst
(114 Reviews)
Genre: Biographies & Memoirs | Coming of Age | Teen & Young Adult
FREE for a limited time
Based on a true story…
Bright, beautiful, and bold, Jane Digby led a remarkable life. Born to privilege in 1807 at Dorset, England, she soon scandalized Europe with her reckless pursuit of freedom. She sacrificed home, family, and respectability for her passions. Kings, princes, barons, brigands, lords, and sheikhs were among her lovers. A gifted artist and musician, as well as a superb horsewoman, she spoke several languages, read widely, wrote eloquently, and embraced all manner of culture and travel.
An amusing, thoughtful, and moving work of historical fiction, Jane Digby’s Diary offers a compelling account of the life of a woman who truly lived all for love. In this opening volume to the series, we are introduced to Jane at seventeen. Spoiled and charming, she seems destined for the privileged life of a well-bred Englishwoman. Her early marriage to Lord Ellenborough begins as a love match until one of the greatest scandals of the Regency era destroys her future, or so it would seem. Jane is nothing if not resilient.
In To Begin, Begin,Jane tells her story in diary form, as if she is speaking to a friend, creating an intimate and compulsively readable look at her life and her times. Will she find the true love and freedom she so desires? There is only one way to find out. Come join her on her path to a life well lived.

In El’s fantasies, she pilots a fighter jet for the intergalactic fleet. In reality, she’s a mechanic whose social grid ranking guarantees she’ll never advance beyond the lowest grunt work, and a slave in all but name to her cruel and self-centered stepmother and stepsisters. The most she can hope for is a few stolen moments of happiness practicing on her sisters’ flight simulators, or talking to the mysterious stranger she met on an illicit night of stargazing.
When the queen announces a competition to find new pilots for the fleet, El knows this is her chance to escape. But her stepmother will never let her compete — and then she learns that her new friend, the one person she thought she could trust, was hiding a secret that changes everything between them.
It’s a good thing she has a lot more friends than she thinks she does.
Exciting, fast-paced, and hopeful, this science fiction retelling of Cinderella is the first in the Rove City series.
