Cookie Palooza is done and now the fun begins! I love delivering the cookies with the family. It’s an awesome time when I get to visit with friends, check out their Christmas decorations, and really enjoy the holiday season. I think I ended up making a total of 15 batches of cookies. Two and a half days of baking. This is why I only bake once a year. Hubby and the baby bassets are a little surprised that I softened up on the “No cookies until all plates for friends is made first rule”. I have been baking cookies every Christmas for well over 30 years, and every year I make way too many and have plenty left over. After all this time I have finally realized I have enough cookies for hubby and the baby bassets to have a few before I plate them. See, I can change. It only took me a few decades, but it happened.

They didn’t count on the spirit of the colonial rebels who were, by that time, committed to the fight. The Battle of Bunker Hill changed the entire tone of the American Revolutionary War — from that point forward, the British knew they were in for a long, difficult fight, and the colonists had the confidence they needed to declare their independence from Great Britain and establish their own new country, the United States of America.
