Cookie Palooza is done and now the fun begins! I love delivering the cookies with the family. It’s an awesome time when I get to visit with friends, check out their Christmas decorations, and really enjoy the holiday season. I think I ended up making a total of 15 batches of cookies. Two and a half days of baking. This is why I only bake once a year. Hubby and the baby bassets are a little surprised that I softened up on the “No cookies until all plates for friends is made first rule”. I have been baking cookies every Christmas for well over 30 years, and every year I make way too many and have plenty left over. After all this time I have finally realized I have enough cookies for hubby and the baby bassets to have a few before I plate them. See, I can change. It only took me a few decades, but it happened.

Almost Definitely Never: A Sweet Enemies to Lovers Romantic Comedy (Jasmine Falls Love Stories Book 2)
by Lucy Day
(42 Reviews)
Genre: Literature & Fiction | Foreign Languages | Romance
FREE for a limited time
From the IPPY Award-winning author of The Almost Lovebirds comes a sweet enemies to lovers romantic comedy that will leave you swooning.
In one week, two former college rivals will challenge everything they believe to be true about each other — and discover that being wrong might just be their greatest win.
It’s official: my life is a dumpster fire. Last week I, Sadie Harper, was living my best life as a beloved park ranger in a cozy woodland cabin. This week? I’ve lost both — and I’m stuck playing hostess at my parents’ inn and feeling like a failure. Things can’t possibly get any worse… until they do, and the one person I never wanted to see again checks into the Jasmine Falls Inn.
James Fielding: famous travel writer, charming TV host, internet darling. Mr. Annoyingly Perfect was my biggest college rival and turned everything — from GPAs to charity bake sales — into a competition. Now he’s shooting a new travel show that could mean a boon for Jasmine Falls’ small business owners — so everyone’s counting on me to make sure he enjoys his time here.
My plan? Nix the babysitting and beat him at his own game. TV loves drama, right?
Sparks fly during filming, but I know it’s only an act. Beneath his witty banter and sexy smirk, James is the perfect reminder of how I was never quite good enough — which is why it’s so infuriating that his smoldering gaze still fills my chest with butterflies.
When this silly competition turns into the job offer of a lifetime, I can’t help wondering — have I had him pegged wrong all this time? Why is he so interested in helping me get back on my feet?
And most of all, why does all our pretend chemistry on set feel so much like the real thing?

The quality of your life depends on the quality of your decisions! Here’s how leading decision-makers make the best judgment calls to guarantee success!
Making decisions is integral to human nature. We decide what to eat or drink, what to watch, what music to play, when to change careers or move house… you get the gist.
Here’s the harsh reality — deciding never stops.
In fact, in 2018, a study published in the Journal of Health Psychology found that the average adult makes 35,000 decisions a day — A LOT for the brain to process.
The bad news is decision overload can cause brain burnout, which causes decision fatigue.
And what does decision fatigue do? It steals more and more focus from every next decision you make.
It hinders your personal growth and leaves you stressed and overworked.
The good news is with the knowledge from this book, you can learn how to make winning decisions that matter.
When the going gets tough, the tough don’t get going — instead, they stick around and decide how to solve the problem.
Take America as an example. Back in the day, the country had to make some of the hardest decisions that shaped the world as we know it now.
Had America not decided on these things, the world would have looked very different.
You don’t have to be a US politician to need to make hard decisions, though.
In different stages of our lives, we would eventually hit that forked path.
Should we quit our job and risk being unemployed? Should we stay in our unfulfilling work and wallow in misery?
Should we end this relationship? Should we move to a different city?
Should we stay or should we go?
With our book, you’ll get to pick the brains of the greatest decision-makers and learn from their experiences firsthand!
You’ll get to make decisions with confidence.
You can evaluate and eliminate choices until you land on the meaningful one.
Finding balance in life is not the easiest path, but this book sees you through every step of your journey.

TUBBY’S CURE FOR BOREDOM: RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!
The SECOND deliciously sneaky mystery in Anthony- and Edgar-nominated Tony Dunbar’s Tubby Dubonnet series.
New Orleans lawyer Tubby Dubonnet is bored. He wants to bill enough hours to pay his alimony and keep his daughter in college, with enough left over for an occasional drink and a good meal, but he longs for something different and exciting.
Sure, researching licensing law for the new casino will keep trout meunière on the table, but what could be more tedious? (Unless, of course, the client turns out to be connected.) Meanwhile, there’s the estate of an old friend who controls some dock leases on the wharf. And he agrees to help his daughter’s environmental group stop illegal dumping in the river.
Ho-hum, thinks our hero. But suddenly all three cases begin to converge in an entirely ominous way — the toxic dumping, the dock leases, and the too-good-to-be-true casino job. How is that possible? Could it be Tubby’s been set up as the fall guy in a Mob effort to expand its gambling empire?
NOW it’s exciting — he’s running for his life!

Battle of Bunker Hill (American Revolutionary War)
by Hourly History
(219 Reviews)
Genre: Education & Teaching | History
FREE for a limited time
Discover the remarkable history of the Battle of Bunker Hill…
In every war, there are those battles that mark a turning point, after which everything is different. These are the battles that help determine how the war will proceed. The Battle of Bunker Hill was one of those battles in the American Revolutionary War. While it was a battle that the American rebels lost, it was significant because it showed that a rag-tag band of civilian soldiers could in fact stand up to the best trained and most experienced military in the world at that time. Despite losing the battle, the American colonists managed to repulse the British advances twice before finally running out of ammunition during the third assault. Additionally, they killed or injured over 1,000 British soldiers as compared to only suffering a little over 400 casualties among their own ranks.
It came as a surprise to the British who had gone into the battle supremely confident that they would easily win. They didn’t count on the spirit of the colonial rebels who were, by that time, committed to the fight. The Battle of Bunker Hill changed the entire tone of the American Revolutionary War — from that point forward, the British knew they were in for a long, difficult fight, and the colonists had the confidence they needed to declare their independence from Great Britain and establish their own new country, the United States of America.
