Orcas are THE apex predator of the ocean. Slap some legs on those guys and I know for a fact they could take on a tiger no problem. It’s a fact. What confuses me is this. They are highly intelligent, right? And we know they communicate with each other. It is also a fact that humans are complete jerks and pretty much the absolute worst. I can say with the upmost confidence that Orcas probably had a meeting about humans, and they all agreed that humans are awful. I know they talked about other things at the meeting. It’s not like I am so arrogant that I think they had a meeting just about us. So here is my confusion. Why is it they don’t attack us in the ocean? What’s their game? I don’t trust them. They are up to something. It makes me nervous. I bet they are aliens from another planet, and they are plotting to take over the world. If they do, do you think they could at least communicate with the sharks to stop chomping on us?

Hard as Nails: A Jessie Weaver Western Adventure Book 1
by William Tresler
(688 Reviews)
Genre: Westerns | History
FREE for a limited time
William Tresler, bestselling author of The Texas Rangers series, delivers another Classic Western Adventure.
There’s a new cowhand at the Triple V Triangle Ranch. Safe to say, not your ordinary cowpoke. Not that this cowhand has any trouble handling a revolver, downing a glass of whiskey in one gulp, or airing the lungs when the need arises.
No better horse wrangler, calf roper or drover ever trod the New Mexico Territory.
What sets this cowboy apart is that she’s a cowgirl, and proud of it! Some dare to call her Cattle Kate, but to their own detriment.
There is more to Jessie Weaver than meets the eye.
Hard as nails and prickly as a cactus, Jessie and her trusty pair of LeMats have a reputation. Not that she enjoys notoriety. The brutal murder of her parents in an Apache attack when she was twelve shaped her life. She’s since learned to keep herself aloof and unattached. Letting folks get close to her has proven dangerous.
Whatever it takes to survive.
When Jessie’s one and only genuine friend at the Triple V, Tanner Nugent, is kidnapped by an Apache war party, she is determined to chase after them and get him back.
Her mission is fraught with questions as much as danger. Why would the Apache have taken Tanner? What did they want? Were the men who volunteered to help her on her side, or were they with Wiley Slater, her arch enemy?
Beneath all the pressing questions is one that keeps bobbing to the surface. A question she knows she must find the answer to someday.
Who is Jessie Weaver?

Amelia Earhart: A Life from Beginning to End (Biographies of Women in History)
by Hourly History
(563 Reviews)
Genre: Education & Teaching | History | Biographies & Memoirs
FREE for a limited time
Amelia Earhart was a legend — but perhaps an unlikely one at that. You see, Amelia Earhart was not always the dashing heroine that most of us associate with her name. She began life as a rather shy girl, who often found herself having to hide from her troubled upbringing. As her family life spiraled out of control, Amelia Earhart was forced to move from state to state, town to town, never getting the chance to put down roots. The high school she graduated from was one of many she attended, and a caption by her photo for that semester’s yearbook seems to have said it all. It read, “the girl in brown who walks alone.” But even as her peers scoffed at the girl in brown slacks who walked a lonely path, Amelia Earhart was charting a course for a tremendous destiny.
In this book, we will follow all of the hurdles that this heroine surmounted in order to become one of the most famous pilots of all time.
