It is absolutely ridiculous that I think I am going to be a different person on vacation than I am at home. I am currently in the process of lying to myself. I am going to the store this morning to pick up some necessities for our month long road trip. On that list is a jump-rope. I thought it would be a good idea to do a little cardio to make up for all the sitting and driving I will be doing. Yaaa… Like I am going to exercise on vacation. I don’t do it at home. What on Earth makes me think I will do it on vacation? I would like to think I would, but have  I met me? Yeesh. I am also planning on packing a hair dryer and straightener. As if I plan on doing my hair nice while on the road. UGH! Lies lies lies.

Whispers, Sinners, and Saints is a multigenerational story of heartbreak, horror, trauma, abuse — and perseverance. At the center are Anna, born in New York in 1959, and her mother, Ann, a Hungarian woman who immigrated to the US in 1957.
Ann was twelve when the Nazis ordered the slum where she’d grown up to be the designated ghetto for all Jews. During that year, most of Ann’s family would disappear or be killed. Her means of survival became the streets, where she removed clothing from corpses and snatched items left behind by those taken to concentration camps. Young Ann witnessed murders, torture, and persecution.
After Anna was born, Mother Ann shared the atrocities she’d endured by physically beating them into her daughter. Ann swore to make her child “pay for all the wrongs done to me in life,” while Anna promised to “grow up and never be like my mother.”
Miraculously, at five months old, baby Anna found enduring salvation through an omniscient connection, All Knowing. Yet, Anna craved a human saint to save her. But who? And where would they come from?
Whispers, Sinners, and Saints is a raw and gripping true story of survival and resilience.

Her mom’s hometown seems like a safe place to hide. Here they’re like a normal family and Jes finally has real friends. She even falls for a guy who likes her though he’s definitely off-limits. Who needs the kind of drama her messed up life brings?

When Jes befriends a strange new student, she discovers he’s searching for a missing girl who might be her. Not only that, he’s from another planet. Could she be this mystery girl and what will it mean for the family determined to protect her?

What makes this book different? It’s teen drama mixed with aliens and powers, soft sci-fi that’s heavy on dialogue. Leftover Girl has a complex mystery plot, a cliffhanger ending, and should be read as part of a series.

Meet Angel Doyle, a semi-reformed thief and accidental P.I.

During an unfortunate incident at her first legit job in years, Angel fires a ketamine dart into one of London’s most notorious gangsters. Now she’s in disguise and on the run. No man is an island… but in Dublin an inner-city lane can be just that. Welcome to Clementine Lane, where everyone knows everyone’s business and respectfully keeps it to themselves and everyone else.

A drugs rehabilitation centre is set for development on the lane, prompting the locals and their snobbish neighbours from the next road over, to unite in protest. This fragile alliance is forced to take on the combined weight of the Political and Media realms, when an addict dies in suspicious circumstances.

Elsewhere, a dark past that has haunted the lane for a century intertwines the fates of a teenager and a homeless alcoholic. Is it supernatural? Or is reality actually, more frightening?

Finally, a man from a well-heeled part of the city blows into the lane, full of confidence and short on affection for his neighbours. When confronted with an impending loss, his friends fade into the digital world, leaving him to face this problem alone; but then, no man is an island…
Clementine Lane is a humorous and poignant panorama of contemporary Dublin.
