Hubby is going up on the roof today. It seems like such a Saturday morning thing to do. For a few winters now the roof, over the deck, has been leaking. I am pretty sure it is rotted pretty bad. UGH. I am worried about hubby going up there. Growing up we had a neighbor who fell off every time he went on his roof. It was almost a guarantee he would fall. I wonder if he knew ladders work both ways. He would hurt himself pretty bad each time, but never enough to deter him from going on the roof again. It would seem to me that one fall off a roof would be enough to teach you a lesson. Maybe tell you that you don’t belong on a roof. Nope. I don’t think hubby will have that issue. To be safe I will hang out on the ground with a few pillows just in case.

I slapped him hard — and by mistake.
I was in the bar with my friend when I spotted him across the room. I mistook him for someone else, the guy who cheated on my friend and made her cry, so I marched over there to give him a piece of my mind — with my palm. The anger got the best of me and I slapped him over and over — and he didn’t stop me. In fact, he smirked like he actually enjoyed it. Then his masculine words snapped me out of my rage. “You’ve got the wrong guy, sweetheart.”
Turns out, he’s Calloway Owens, rich-as-sin, built like a brickhouse, and he spends his millions in the sexiest way possible… as a philanthropist. He deserves my slap the least, but he takes it like a man. He’s already out of my league and he should hate me for what I’ve done… but then he asks me out.
He’s the kind of guy that doesn’t say much, but his eyes say everything. Every time he looks at me, he makes me feel buck-naked. He says I’m not his usual type, but doesn’t explain what that means. I try to keep myself grounded, not to get too caught up with this dream hunk, but almost instantly I’m falling so hard…
Not knowing he has a secret that could tear us apart…

Dealing with dragons is hard. Dealing with a teenage daughter is even harder.
My new mission involves both. Weird things are happening in Northern Idaho, and my boss is sending me to investigate. Unfortunately, my daughter and ex-husband are vacationing in the town that’s at the center of the trouble. Coincidence? Or is someone targeting them to get at me?
I’m a wanted woman right now. Not only by the criminal werewolves, orcs, and trolls that I’m often hired to kill. But by the Dragon Justice Court.
An organization full of arrogant, powerful dragons is exactly as horrible as it sounds. They’re the last beings you’d want after your family. If I can’t get to the bottom of the mystery and convince the dragons I’m not their enemy, I stand to lose far more than my own life.

Sara’s on the run and she’s found the perfect place to hide…
Sara Robinson – gambling addict, liar, thief – lived a hand-to-mouth existence in a dingy flat in London. Now she’s running for her life after the chance to make some easy money goes horribly wrong. She has three things which might save her – a passport in someone else’s name, a ticket to Australia and a suitcase full of cash.
Sara finds herself the custodian of a crumbling Victorian mansion known as Crowlands House, once a children’s home in the rural town of Ararat. At first, the airy property seems cool and welcoming in the harsh Australian sunlight. It’s a private haven where Sara can forget about what happened in London, and a place to escape the hostile local townsfolk.
But there are things in the house that aren’t quite right. And Sara can’t ignore them forever.
The doors that won’t stay open, the scratching sounds in the walls at night, the objects that disappear only to reappear in a room she has never even been in.
And then the children come out to play – one by shadowy one…
Sara begins to delve into the mysteries of the mansion and uncovers a secret so gruesome it refuses to stay buried. But the evils of the past will do anything to keep the dead silent, and Sara must find a way to survive the horror that still resides at Crowlands House. The crows in the gum tree wait patiently for the souls of the dead to leave the house, but he will never set them free.

A different latitude… a different world…
Meredith Champlin unexpectedly finds herself the legal guardian of a child she’s never met: Janet Barton Stowe, an unruly eleven-year-old “Beverly Hills brat,” whose mother – Meredith’s cousin– has died in a private plane crash.
At the urging of the child’s Anglo-American aunt, Lady Blythe Barton-Teague, Meredith and her Welsh Corgi decamp from Wyoming to spend the summer at Barton Hall, a shabby-chic castle perched on the remote cliffs of Cornwall, England.
Taming the wild child proves a handful, but Meredith’s summer escape gets even more complicated when former British Army Lieutenant Sebastian Pryce, veteran of a bomb-sniffing K-9 squad in Afghanistan, proposes they establish the Barton Hall Canine Obedience Academy and that she join him on the Cornwall Search and Rescue Team. She wonders whether their instant attraction is an unexpected blessing or the prelude to another heartbreak like the one she left behind in the Rocky Mountains.
Even with an assist from a novice search dog named T-Rex, the odds seem long that three months in the land of Meredith’s Cornish ancestors can transform her troubled ward into a happier child, heal the wounds suffered by her soldier-turned-rescuer, and save the Barton-Teague estate from pending insolvency.
As a friend of Meredith’s confides, “It all sounds like a stretch, but we never rule out miracles.”
