This morning is a time for learning. Every move I make is teaching me what I hurt. It wasn’t even a big fall yesterday, just outside the post office. Nope, it was a little stumble. I thought the worst part was the embarrassment of tripping over my own foot, splatting to the ground in front of a bunch of strangers, and watching my packages fly across the walkway. Noooo… apparently the worst part is discovering all the things I hurt on my body. I think the punishment is not fitting the crime on this one. If I wasn’t there I would have thought my body was hit by a truck and thrown off a cliff. An older gentleman who saw me fall asked if I was okay. I told him I was just embarrassed, and I was fine. He just looked at me, shook his head, and said, “If I had fallen like that things would have been broken.” At the time I thought that might have been a bit dramatic. This morning? No.. he was spot on.
