I can’t believe that something that has been bugging me for years, only took a few minutes to fix. I hate painting with a passion. My lack of attention to detail makes for pretty sloppy work. I try to be neat, but after about two seconds I have had enough of it and I don’t care if it’s not perfect. Unfortunately, its usually not just a little imperfect, it’s a down right mess. Because I know this about myself I decided to do the hardest part of this painting job first. The ceiling. I am usually pretty tired from painting the walls, so when it comes time to paint the ceilings I often don’t because I have reached my limit. So… there was one spot in the ceiling that has been bugging me for years. I did a little touch up painting on one spot, but it was the wrong color. I have lived with that mistake for well over five years. Every time I walk in the room, my eyes were drawn to that mismatched paint spot. It took me just a few minutes to paint over that section of ceiling and now my boo boo is gone. It’s an odd feeling saying goodbye to that spot. My mistake has been erased like it never happened. Well that’s weird.

The Problem with Traditional Investing Education…
Most investing courses and books teach you about numbers. They show you how to plug values into models and get results. But here’s the catch: those models are only as good as the assumptions you feed into them.

So, the real question is: How do you determine the right assumptions? How do you truly understand a company, its potential, and its risks?

Discover the Power of Spectrum Thinking

At the heart of this book lies a groundbreaking concept: Spectrum Thinking. By comparing various attributes of a company to others along specific spectrums — much like personality test percentiles — you gain a deeper, more nuanced understanding of its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. With over 30 unique spectrums introduced in this book, you’ll have a comprehensive toolkit to evaluate any business, in any industry.

Moreover, these skills are invaluable whether you’re a solo investor or actively pursuing a career in private equity, venture capital, asset management, or investment banking.
