Poor kitty is extremely angry with me this morning. I took his food away last night because he has a doctors appointment this morning. Last week I had mentioned he had lost weight, and I joked a little, but I was actually concerned about it. We have been trying for years to get him to lose weight and when he finally did, I got worried. I took him to our regular vet and was told he has diabetes. This is tough news to take, but my timing couldn’t have been better. The vet told me about a clinical trial that he might be eligible for that would cover all the costs of the tests and the first months of treatments. I absolutely love the hospital where the trial is taking place. I took a tour once and the hospital has technology that would blow your mind. It’s like walking into a superheros lair. Non of this is comforting to kitty though. He is still screaming at me. His appointment can’t come soon enough.
