Camping season is upon us! In a few hours the whole Basset family is packing it up and going camping. The first week we had Junebug, we took her camping with us, and she seemed to really like it and was so easy to camp with. I know my VERY old pup Jethro likes it as well, so I wouldn’t even think of leaving him behind. LIE!! Actually, he is so old and creaky I did think of leaving him behind for a second, but decided he would be happier going. He has gotten so old, a slight breeze could knock him over, but his tail still wags pretty hard when it’s feeding time or if we go on a trip. Our camping trips are pretty easy for him at least. We usually just park ourselves by the water’s edge the whole day and he watches the kids play and naps. I know it will be hard on him, but the fact that he practically forces his way out the door to the car tells me he still wants to go.

She isn’t what you would call a girly girl. She almost never wears makeup and loves nothing more than to wear a well-worn pair of jeans, a t-shirt and her most comfortable pair of sneakers.
She would like to think she is just an ordinary woman, but she’s not. She has a connection to the spirit world that seems to draw her into mysterious situations more often than not.
Add to the mix the antics of a rather naughty, slightly psychic cat and the eccentric ghost of her great-aunt Millie, and you have a life that is anything but ordinary.
