Good gracious… can I just say I am glad I decided against putting mirrors in the chicken castle. Poor ladies… Naughty and Heather are molting. The two of them look ridiculous without feathers! I, being the queen, am trying to be supportive but is just so heard not to laugh at them when you see them! I think if we had mirrors the two of them would have heart-attacks when they saw their appearances. I know Mrs. Book Basset is trying to be supportive but you can tell that she too is laughing on the inside… who wouldn’t!?! Well, I should probably go see how they are doing. So long for now…Jackie

For many a trip to the dreaded death camps created by the Nazi’s in World War II was a death sentence. Many wouldn’t live for long after disembarking their train. Others were sentenced to hard labor that would eventually claim them or drive them to take drastic measures and attempt to escape. Most would be brought back, dead or soon to be dead. There are some stories that stand out from the rest. Men who dared to defy one of the most brutal forces in history, the Nazi regime. These men weighted the odds and were determined to do what few managed to do, escape.

Back in college, the bras-before-bros sisterhood decided to live for achievement in the boardroom, not the bedroom. Rosalind Betters embraced that philosophy, pursuing her career and little else. But when her last single friend, Kamakshi, announces her engagement in of all things, an arranged marriage, Rosalind reevaluates the merits of matrimony. In her typical gung ho fashion, she names a date, books a venue, and picks out a dress, all before finding a groom. Taking a lesson from Kamakshi and too busy to do otherwise, Rosalind hires San Francisco’s best headhunter, Xavier Hommes, to find her better half for her. At first, Xavier thinks Rosalind is one of those eccentric personalities for which the city is famous. As he comes to know her, however, Xavier finds himself hating his task for reasons he never would have suspected. If Rosalind really wants a man who will make her happy, she need look no further. As W-Day approaches and Rosalind starts falling for someone; Xavier himself headhunted, he walks the line between professionalism and passion, trying to decide if competing to become Mr. Betters is worth the risk to his commission, his reputation, and Rosalind’s happiness.
