My sweet chickies are going to be so mad at me today. I didn’t cover their run area before it rained, and it got extremely muddy. If I let them hang out in mud they could get bumblefoot, and that’s just not pleasant. I am also going to be gone most of the day, so what that means they will be locked up in the coop for the whole day. They have the bottom section of the coop that is dry and good for scratching, but it’s not nearly as nice as the run area is. You know that horrible feeling you have when you know your in trouble and are going to get yelled at? Well, multiple that by six. I am going to get yelled at by six angry ladies when I get home tonight and there is nothing I can do about it. Maybe I will pick up a nice bouquet of crickets on the way home. That always puts a smile on their beaks.
