Tis but a scratch! I spent a good part of the weekend in the garden clearing out overgrown and spent plants, as well as planting a few new ones to fill in the huge holes left behind. I spend a lot of that time in my own head and I dodn’t pay too much attention to what is going on around me when I am in gardening mode. Usually, after a few hours I pop out from behind a tree or out of a flowerbed with twigs in my hair and dirt all over my clothes. It’s my happy place. At breakfast on Sunday morning my oldest was concerned about a 3 inch long cut on my arm and asked what had happened. “Oh that? I just cut myself trying to fit a terracotta pot in a rusty birdcage.” I guess the rusty part was a bit concerning to him. I assured him I was fine and proved it by smacking the cut and wiggling the fingers. That’s all the proof you need right there. He wanted to bandage it. Nonsense! If there is nothing poking out it’s fine. I love that he was so concerned. Tis but a flesh wound.
