I think I ruined fresh whipped cream for my neighbor. I feel kinda bad. If you keep reading this it might ruin it for you to. Don’t worry, it’s nothing gross. You’re still reading? Okay. My neighbor and I were talking about pumpkin pie and whipped cream the day before Thanksgiving. I told her I love the canned whipped cream at Costco right now. She was all giddy about making the fresh stuff she has made for years and years. Family tradition she said. I told her I didn’t like the fresh stuff because it left a thick film on the roof of my mouth and felt light an oil slick. A few days later she told me she had never noticed the oil slick before and was a bit bothered by it. Christmas is right around the corner. Is she making fresh whipped cream, or have I ruined it for her whole family, and she will buy the canned stuff this time? Just Me over here un-aliving traditions.

From Coward To Warrior: Based On True Events
by David Turner
(12 Reviews)
Genre: Religion & Spirituality
FREE for a limited time
“Happy wife, happy life.”
Or so David thought, until one night over Chinese food his wife confessed to an affair. While his first instinct was to curl up in the fetal position in the parking lot, this riveting true story has much more to it. Sure, it’s about betrayal, forgiveness, redemption… all the usual suspects are there.
But the greatest surprise for David was how those things changed him, from a man who had avoided conflict for as long as he could remember-to a man who ran straight into the greatest fight of his life.
Men today are under assault from a hostile culture. Sitcoms portray them as bumbling fools. The news is full of petty tyrants at home. Men of integrity seem to be few and far between.
Which is what makes this story refreshing.Through David’s battle to save his marriage, he discovers what it means to be a man: you can be counted on to just do the right thing.
No matter what.
