Sales of his 10 self-published books have ground to such a halt that his girlfriend has handed him an ultimatum: Stop writing rubbish nobody wants to read, or I’m off.

Somehow Peachcroft manages to negotiate a stay of execution with his beloved, giving him one year to give this being a successful author thing one last crack.

This is the story of that year. A study of desperation and deceit, secrets, lies, madness and a bit more deceit.

It’s a mystery without a murder and a tale with such a twist that you really ought to give yourself a big pat on the back if you see it coming.
