I do have one tiny problem with the rain. I’m not asking it to stop, so don’t give it any ideas, but just one little issue has come up. As the neighborhood snoop and busybody, it’s been a bit too quiet. Apparently my neighbors don’t like to go out in the rain. They could at least open their garages and create a little action. That would be nice. I might have to go out there and stir things up a bit.

Genre: Mystery, Thriller & Suspense

Suspense, Humor, Romance – and maybe a killer or two.
Following the sudden death of a co-worker, psychotherapist Letty Whittaker learns she has “inherited” her colleague’s case load. As professional executor, Letty assumes responsibility for Regina’s clients, including those from Devlin House, the local domestic abuse shelter where Regina had worked… and died.
As Letty takes up her duties, she makes some disturbing discoveries: a set of files that Regina had stolen from the shelter; an AWOL resident, missing since the morning after Regina’s death; an ethics complaint Regina had made against an unnamed peer. Are the files—or the abused women they represented—connected with Regina’s death? Is the missing client on the run from her abusive husband or somebody even scarier? Who was Regina reporting to the state licensing board, and why?
And, more importantly, just what kind of trouble has Letty really inherited?

The Wild Adventures of Chuck Kikel: A Short Story Trilogy

(14 Reviews)
Genre: Action & Adventure | Short Stories
FREE for a limited time
With characters as diverse and colorful as Harold the Hillbilly, John Paul Jones ( not the legendary bass player of Led Zep or the Navy Dude) Brativah Domotuski, Mr. Stash Palanski( aka the Sausage King) , and of course me, Chuck Kikel,I wish to narrate a trilogy of interconnected short stories equal in imagination, intensity, humor, and adventure to other great trilogies such as”Pirates of the Caribbean” ,”Lord of the Rings”, ,and “The Godfather” . Of course I wish this, but let’s be realistic; “THE WILD ADVENTURES OF CHUCK KIKEL” couldn’t shine the shoes of those other three masterpieces. However, what I actually do hope for is that you, the reader, are entertained, surprised, captivated and thoroughly enjoy my first venture into the literary world.
Book one, “BLOOD ON THE HIGH SEAS” finds me and my buddies on an adventure which starts out as an innocent fishing trip and ends up a bloody mess.
Book two, “MARSHMELLOWS” picks up with me and the gang a year later on a camping trip to New York States Catskill Mountains in search of good times, partying, sex, hiking, fishing, and just enjoying good ole Mother Nature. Too bad it doesn’t turn out that way.
And finally,
Book three, “THE WEST RIM” ties up all the loose ends and answers all of your questions as my entourage travels first to Las Vegas and then to our final, and I do mean final destination, the Grand Canyons West Rim.
So come join me for some good old fashioned story telling as you sit back, relax and enjoy this book.
Your friend, Chuck

Every Inch of the Way; My Bike Ride Around the World – PART 1
Tom Bruce
(27 Reviews)
Genre: Sports & Outdoors | Travel
FREE for a limited time
PLEASE NOTE – This is only part one of the full book (the European leg).
In March 2011, I set off from my home to cycle unsupported around the world. On the way, I spent nights in people’s houses all over the world, slept in Yurts, camped with nomads, ate delicious food ranging from Tibetan stew to alligator meat, drunk home-made Georgian wine, was given clothes, partied with Kazakhs on the Caspian Sea ferry, saw photos of USSR soldiers in front of statues of Lenin, saw Stalin’s house the Grand Canyon and the Great Wall. I cycled through sweltering deserts and over huge mountains. I overcame mechanical problems with the help of an Azerbaijani mechanic and illness due to the kindness of a Tajik Pamiri doctor. On the way I cycled with local people and friends, both old and new.
I’ve written this book to share my story and the amazing experiences that I had. It’s not a book full of arty descriptions about beautiful places, it doesn’t have any clever metaphors; it’s just my story. It tells the story of a normal person spending nine months experiencing the world from the saddle of a bike. I’ve included bits of history, observations about people’s daily life, comparisons of countries and my own opinions as my story is told. There are black and white photos included in the book too and colour photos in the ebook version.
I only had one rule; I had to make it round the world on a bike: every inch of the way. I hope you enjoy my story; it will be great to have you along for the ride…

It was just a party.
There were six of them, three guys and three girls enjoying the cool fall evening. Good friends, they had been drawn together in high school like pieces of steel to a magnet. Considered nerds by many in their school, all of them were near the top of their class and seemed destined for big things.
But something in the sky that night changed their lives forever!
Based on actual events…maybe…
The Abducted is a prequel to The Adventures of Gabriel Celtic series.
