I keep waiting for my sweet bees to settle down for the winter with these cold mornings, but they haven’t slowed down one bit. Even with the low temps in the morning they are coming out of the hive as soon as the light hits the entrance. They don’t move very fast, but you can see them standing out on their front porch, with their tiny cups of coffee getting fired up. I even saw one with a teenie tiny Red Bull drink. I had no idea they came in such small cans. Where did they get the money to buy it? How are they making coffee in their hive? I may never know the answer to any of these questions, but one thing I know for sure, these ladies are no joke! They work hard from sun up to sun down, and don’t hesitate to shoo you away if you linger outside their hive too long. I had let the plants in front of their hive get out of hand because they wont let me clear them away. Maybe if I offered them coffee and Red Bull.
