The other day I went to a big box hardware store for some irrigation parts I needed. The plant section was pretty bare and uninspiring. This was good news for me, since I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on plants right now. Not so close to Winter and the expenses the holidays bring. Then I made the mistake of going to a locally owned store. Oh gosh. They had a magnificent variety of plants that took all my energy not to throw in a cart. I purposely didn’t bring a cart into the store to hopefully give me some self control. That didn’t work at all. It just made it harder for me to bring the four plants I could carry to the register. I am thinking of going back and getting the plants I couldn’t carry and left behind. I feel bad about it, but it’s what my garden needs. I do it for the garden you know?
