A friend of mine wanted to buy some chickens and asked if I knew anyone who was selling them. OH JOY!! Chicken shopping! I took her to another friend of mine who was selling off a bunch of her flock. I was overjoyed when my friend asked me to pick out her new chickens, so I went to work immediately. I was a kid in a candy store. The chicken owners daughter came up to us with a very pretty chicken and advised that this particular chicken was sweet, loved to be hugged, and was the most beautiful chicken in the whole flock. She was also NOT for sale. I have never wanted a chicken so bad in my life! At that very moment I turned into the Wicked Witch of the West. “Oh, I will get you my pretty!” I am officially a crazy chicken lady.
