The Christmas tree is the last holiday item that needs to come down. Usually it is a sad occasion and makes the house seem empty, and marks the true end of the holidays. I love the holidays. I love the lights, the music, the decorations, just the whole feeling of it. When it ends it’s kinda sad. Now while I had a great holiday season (I seem to have forgotten all the stress and the screaming I did) I am really happy to have my house back to normal. I kinda feel guilty for taking it all down so quickly. Like I am grabbing all the presents from Santa and them kicking him out.

Anaxantis, prince of Ximerion. You will hate him… if your heart isn’t big enough.
While the kingdom of Ximerion is threatened at its southern border by a major power, the high king sends his two youngest sons, the half brothers Anaxantis and Ehandar, as Lord Governors to the Northern Marches where minor raids by wild barbarians are expected. Under the guidance of an old and trusted general, the king hopes to keep the young princes far from the major conflict in the south, while at the same time providing them with a valuable learning experience. The estranged half brothers are rivals, but soon they feel attracted to each other. As if this was not enough of a complication, they begin to suspect that they were set up by their own father. The result is a fierce struggle for power where the lines between hate and love become almost indistinguishable and where nothing is what it seems.

The Toughest Gang in Brooklyn
Jay Buckner

Genre: Humor & Entertainment | Urban

Pure texture, short and sweet. With a name like Morris Ventimiglia the founding member of the Street Mystiques had to be tough. You’ve found a fast, touching and candid novella about New York street life in the 50’s and 60’s, a nostalgic, lightweight take on a heavyweight crew. But there’s no plot. The Street Mystiques could be considered a legendary Brooklyn-based gang though their influence ranged as far as the shuffleboard courts on the big island of Hawaii in later years. This is the story of their origins and how, by their own admissions and self-promotions, they became notorious for their escapades, starting with a ferocious battle in the kindergarten class where they met. Discover why people named Augie are always short. And see what Chambrey does when her brother tries to pimp her out but neglects to tell her. You’ll even find out if people really live on Staten Island. For the most part you can leave the brass knuckles and baseball bats at the title page. It would be best if you brought a sense of humor to the reading chair instead.
