I am old. I know I am old because I just stomped around the house grumbling to myself that there are too many lights on in the house. STOMP STOMP CLICK!! Grumble grumble (repeat 5 times). There was even a bathroom light left on. A BATHROOM LIGHT!!! What kind of animal turns a bathroom light on and leaves? I think hubby might have felt a little cheated out of the fun of stomping around the house turning lights off and grumbling. It’s kinda his thing and I just stole it from him. I really shouldn’t steal his thunder like that. Fine, I will let him do the dishes while complaining that no one ever does the dishes but me.

Bestselling author Staci Hart is back with a brand new romantic comedy and clever spin on Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice. Meet the Bennet brothers, get to know Longbourne, and fall in love in this steamy enemies to lovers romcom.

Everyone hates parts of their job.
Maybe it’s the paperwork. Maybe it’s the day-to-day grind. Maybe it’s that client who never knows what they want, or the guy who always cooks fish in the microwave.
But not me. I love every corner of the Longbourne Flower Shop, every flower, every petal, every stem. I love the greenhouse, and I love Mrs. Bennet, my boss. I love creating, and I love being a florist. I don’t hate anything at all.
Except for Luke Bennet.
The Bennet brothers have come home to help their mom save the flower shop, and Luke is at the helm. His smile tells a tale of lust, loose and easy. He moves with the grace of a predator, feral and wild. A thing unbridled, without rules or constraint. When he comes home to save Longbourne, I almost can’t be mad at him. Almost.
He doesn’t remember that night I’ll never forget. That kiss, touched with whiskey and fire. It branded me like a red-hot iron. But it meant nothing to him.
Everyone hates part of their job, and I hate Luke Bennet.
Because if I don’t, I’ll fall in love with him.

Warriors: A Novel of Texas’ Last Comanche Indian Campaign
by Gene Shelton
4.6 Stars (28 Reviews)
Genre: War | Westerns

FREE for a limited time

Two young men from two different worlds: One a Plains Indian schooled from youth in war, the other a reluctant warrior driven into uniform by family tradition, the two riding toward a collision course in a deep canyon called Palo Duro in the Texas Panhandle and High Plains. One has everything a man could want; the other yearns for something he cannot have.

This is the story of the Red River War, the final major campaign fielded by the U.S. Cavalry under Col. Ranald S. “Bad Hand” Mackenzie’s Fourth Division against the coalition of Comanche and Kiowa warriors led by famed Quanah Parker.

This historical novel of the four-year campaign tells both sides of the conflict — through the eyes of the Indian warrior called Badger and the young horse soldier named Ned Justine — and the long, winding trail destined to bring the two face-to-face in one final battle on the Texas frontier.

It also is a portrait of two vastly different cultures that could never coexist.
