I was all excited yesterday when I thought I was seeing a swarm of bees starting to form in my front yard, but upon closer inspection I realized they weren’t bees at all. WASPS!!! Baby wasps. Yikes! They were super cute, but not the kind of wildlife I want in my front yard, right by the front door. I know it is only the beginning of swarm season, but I have yet to even see a single bee in my yard. I have plenty of bumblebees, but no honey bees. This is a far cry from last year when I had 13 or so swarms land in my backyard. It might be a sign to take a year off. I need to clean my attic anyway. I know that is not related in any way, but once I get up in the attic I have a tendency to stay up there for quite a while, so no time for beekeeping. I almost turn into the attic monster. I think if I were to turn into a ghost, I would be the kind to haunt attics. I could spend all my time organizing junk, spying on people’s conversations below, snooping through boxes of junk, and it’s warm. Perfect!!
