Hubby bought a caterpillar prison for me to keep the three Monarch butterfly caterpillars that came with the milkweed plant I bought. I couldn’t be more delighted. Especially since I discovered Monarch caterpillars are pretty expensive. They get you on the shipping. $26..YIKES!! So if you think for one second I am going to let those little caterpillars go after they turn into butterflies you are crazy! I want to figure out how to make a butterfly farm/ prison. Hubby says I am nuts. I say he is nuts for marrying me. SO THERE! Jokes on him. Now get to building a butterfly enclosure! So far the caterpillars don’t seem to mind their new imprisoned state. They just spend their days eating the milkweed, and there is plenty for them to chomp on. I just found out that the nursery will be getting more milkweed in on Friday. That means the possibility of more eggs. Niiiiiice.

Unlike his twin sister and most of his friends, Tyber has never been impressed with dragons. Instead of admiring them and their riders, he’s busy doing whatever he can to make sure his siblings have enough to eat.

But after getting caught helping a friend commit an act of petty theft, Tyber is given a choice between imprisonment or entering the King’s Royal Academy of Dragon Riders. New recruits are desperately needed in the face of an escalating war, and King Cadwaller is offering a bonus to any family that enrolls its young adult sons. Even larger bonuses await those who go on to become Royal Hordesmen.

It sounds like a golden opportunity for Tyber and his family. But can he endure the trials of the academy and overcome his distaste for serving the king he blames for his family’s poverty? Neither task, however, will be as difficult as winning the loyalty of a young dragon named Rius and accepting the wisdom of dragons.

Dragon’s-Eye View is the first novella in a quick-paced serial spin-off set in The Dragoneer universe. Shorter reads for today’s fast-paced life, each book advances Tyber’s adventures with his dragon Rius in this dragon rider fantasy appropriate for most ages.

She’s the jilted bridezilla. He’s the commitment-phobe best man. Can they work together for the sake of their businesses? Or should they avoid each other for the sake of their sanity?

Chloe Cassidy has fallen out of love with love. Which, for a wedding planner, is a highly inconvenient turn of events. When her longtime sweetheart jilts her at the altar Chloe’s belief in happy-ever-after disappears along with her groom. But this attitude has her business suffering as much as she is. In a final attempt to save ‘Something Borrowed’, Chloe is forced to swallow her pride and work with the enemy- infuriatingly hot, best man, and award-winning chef Vaughn.

Vaughn’s own attitude–he calls it spontaneous, his staff call it temperamental–has him in a spot of trouble. Captivating Chloe’s admin prowess is just what his restaurant needs, if only she didn’t push his avoid-at-all-costs buttons. But as they spend time together, they soon find the flames that ignite between them have nothing to do with their past, and everything to do with something new… romance.

by Robert Broomall
4.4 Stars (239 Reviews)
Genre: Historical Fiction | War

FREE for a limited time

Before Verdun… before Stalingrad… there was the siege of Acre.

1190, A.D. – Saladin’s armies have overrun most of the Holy Land, prompting a great crusade from the West, led by Richard the Lionheart, King Philip of France, and the German emperor, Barbarossa. Meanwhile, in England, a monk named Roger dreams of becoming a knight and helping to free Jerusalem from Saladin and the Saracens — and of maybe, just maybe, finding the father who abandoned him as a baby. Unjustly accused of murdering another monk, Roger flees his abbey and joins the vast tide of men headed for the East.

In the Holy Land, Roger finds not glory, but death and misery as he takes part in the greatest military debacle of the Middle Ages — the siege of Acre. Roger makes a name for himself in the company known as the Death’s Heads, and he falls in love under the most improbable circumstances. But as the months pass, and he watches the mightiest fighting force in the history of Christendom being destroyed by battle and disease and starvation, he suffers a soul-shattering crisis of faith, wondering how God could permit His children to indulge in such madness.

And his other dream, the one about finding his father, that seems as far away as ever, too — or is it?

Death’s Head illuminates a little-known but significant moment in history, one whose outcome resonates through the years to the present day. It is a story of war and love and the faith that enables ordinary men to perform extraordinary deeds.

GOD IS SPEAKING: Complete Series In One Volume
by Andy Ripley
5.0 Stars (11 Reviews)
Genre: Religion & Spirituality

FREE for a limited time

This book combines the three volumes of the GOD IS SPEAKING series into one volume.

GOD IS SPEAKING 1 (FATHER, SON & HOLY SPIRIT) is the first of a three-part series describing what God has spoken to us all through His word, the Bible. Presenting Himself as Father, Son and Holy Spirit, He has spoken many things to mankind. What specifically does He say as God the Father, as God the Son, and as God the Spirit? How does God interact with His people as God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit?

GOD IS SPEAKING 2 (THE BIBLE, PROPHETS & PREACHERS) is the second book of a three-part series describing what God has spoken to us through His word, the Bible. The Bible which He has provided for us is the main way in which God communicates His special message to the people He has created. Historically, God has used chosen men (Prophets & Preachers) to preach and interpret His word to us. It is vital to us that we learn to take in the word of God as our daily spiritual food, through reading and through hearing these chosen men of God preach and teach to us from His word.

GOD IS SPEAKING 3 (VISIONS, DREAMS & VOICES) is the third book of a three-part series describing what God has spoken to us through His word, the Bible. In the Bible eras, certain chosen men received information from God through visions and dreams. These great visions and dreams are written out for us to see in the Bible. They are often breath-taking in their beauty, dreadful in their declarations of judgement, and stunning in their prophetic accuracy. At different times and in different circumstances, God has chosen to speak to His people in different voices; sometimes He has spoken to us with the voice of our father, with the voice of our husband, or with the voice of our judge. Does God still use visions and dreams today? Does He still speak to different people with different voices? These and other
questions ate explored in this book.
