SERIOUSLY???? Have we learned nothing??? Okay, let me tell you what I am freaking out about. Scientists have discovered a perfectly preserved dinosaur embryo in southern China. And now they are showing it off. “Look what we found! It is awesome! It looks like it died yesterday, it’s so fresh!” NO! Bad human. When you discover stuff like that you keep it a secret. We have billionaires racing to space in their own spaceships just for kicks. If they get a hold of that egg they are going to steal the DNA, splice it with frog DNA (Thanks to the Jurassic Park Movies we all know how to do that), and grow dinosaurs, so they can RACE THEM! This will end badly for us. Note to self.. don’t wear a red shirt until we know the billionaires aren’t successful getting the egg.

For now, he remains silent, even as Amnon rapes Tamar, even as Absalom lures Amnon to his death. In families other than his, such crimes may be concealed. But when they occur in the king’s family, they affect matters of the state and force him to escape. Will he finds a way to quell the revolt and come back to the City of David?

This is a standalone novel as well as volume III of the trilogy The David Chronicles, told candidly by the king himself. David uses modern language, indicating that this is no fairytale. Rather, it is a story that is happening here and now. If you like ancient historical fiction about court intrigue, this king David novel has a modern twist like no book you have read before.

Ballet Orphans: A Prequel (Ballet Theatre Chronicles Book 3)

4.4 Stars (110 Reviews)
Genre: Arts & Photography

FREE for a limited time

It’s 1990, and New York soloist April Manning is trying to rebalance her world in the aftermath of her parents’ deaths. An offer to join the struggling West Coast Ballet Theatre as a principal dancer seems like the perfect opportunity for a fresh start — a new life in San Francisco, an exciting step up in her career, and the hope of a redefined sense of family. But the other dancers are wary, clannish and tight-lipped, particularly about an incident that hastened the departure of their beloved artistic director, leading to the arrival of his replacement, the young, inexperienced Anders Gunst. And no one wants to talk about Jana, a former company member who defiantly walked out rather than work under Anders. It is Jana herself who offers April hints, and even friendship, where she reveals a loneliness and hunger to belong that newly orphaned April well understands. But there is something troubling about Jana, and what April doesn’t know could prove deadly.

A prequel to the Ballet Theatre Chronicles, BALLET ORPHANS explores the work and sacrifices required to arrive at the highest tiers of the professional ballet world, coupled with the primal, universal desire to belong, to love and be loved, and the lengths we’ll go to protect those we call family.
