I bought a houseplant yesterday. I don’t want a houseplant. Oddly, I am not a fan of having plants in the house. My house is a bit dark, so they don’t do well, they always get little annoying flies, and space is very limited in my house. So why did I buy a plant? I have no clue. I will most likely get annoyed with it after a month and put it outside where it’s either sink or swim for the poor fella. Although, looking at him right now he is a pretty good looking Monstera (Swiss Cheese plant). What I need is a pretty awesome looking pot to put him in. That of course means a trip to the thrift stores to find a unique and fun container not found anywhere else. I HAVE A NEW YEAR MISSION! Hmmmm… kinda like the little fella now.

THE NEW YORK TIMES & USA TODAY BESTSELLING MYSTERY & CRIME SERIES
As the Twin Cities’ most prominent Investigative reporter, Claire Daniels was stunningly attractive… blonde hair, blue eyes and a curvaceous body she worked on relentlessly. She was the desire of every man in town. He had already secretly observed her working out at the club three times now. After waiting 45 minutes, he peered one last time through the gap in her closet door and stepped into the room while she slept.
Murder. Greed. Treason.
St. Paul Homicide Detective Mac McRyan thought his day was going to be less stressful with only a little paperwork and hopefully an early trip to the pub. Then his cell phone rang… he urgently rushes to the scene to find a body in a high-end condominium between Summit and Grand Avenues, and it’s not just anyone. With the brutal, high-profile Daniels’ murder compounded by the latest serial killer attack, the media pressure on the police department only builds and places Mac in the middle of a dangerous and high-stakes murder investigation that will ultimately have national political and security implications.

Vampire And The Frenchman: Ghosts Of Pinkerton
by Andy DeJong

Genre: Fantasy | Horror

Book 1 of the Ghosts Of Pinkerton series.
An imaginative western/fantasy/sci-fi genre mashing supernatural adventure!
Welcome to an alternative 1880s influenced by outside forces of light and dark — as well as from different eras. It differs from our own in subtle, and not so subtle, ways. If you like your stories strange, a bit campy, and full of historical inaccuracies, then this is your type of book.
Jasper Longley was a broken man before Allan Pinkerton pulled him off the train tracks and gave him a purpose.
Cole Owens drank his skeletons away. He was aimless until he stumbled into Jasper.
The wild west in the 1880’s was a time of revolution, progress, lawlessness, and… monsters. While average Pinkerton agents were tasked with tracking bandits and keeping order, agents Jasper Longley and Cole Owens fought to keep the world from plunging into chaos. Their mission was to keep tabs on the supernatural beings wreaking havoc on the citizens of the western frontier — and apprehend candy-stealing goblins.
After a routine vampire hunt, Jasper and Cole discover a peculiar relic that sends them on a grueling quest to stop a mysterious force: The Chaos Demon. Few have encountered this demon and lived to tell the tale. Jasper is one of the few and he is hell-bent on ending this demon’s reign of terror.
Along the way, they uncover a few hidden demons of their own making.
A Frenchman and a lone vampire play much bigger roles than previously imagined. Nothing on the surface is quite what it seems — not when darkness consumes all things.
