The sickness running through our house is a bit of a confusing one. Everyone is getting sick, but not with the same symptoms. Is it the same bug or different ones? I have no clue. I haven’t been hit yet, which is a surprise to me. I am all but asking for it when I check my baby’s temperature by putting my face to their forehead. I never try to avoid getting sick when it hits our home. I refuse to spend any effort avoiding it. I will not stop hugging and kissing them. THEY ARE JUST TOO CUTE! There is also a bit of laziness involved. That would be a lot of repeated cleaning and disinfecting I have no desire to do. I will do all that when everyone is done being sick. I am sure I will get hit on the weekend, when I have free time. Thanks…grrrr.

A Pilgrims Guide to the End of the Age: A prophetic view of the last days
by Russ Scalzo

A Pilgrims Guide to the End of the Age takes you on a journey through Bible prophecy. We all tend to avoid studying books of the Bible like Revelation and Daniel. After all, who really understands all that deep stuff anyway?
In my forty years teaching this subject, I have heard many different reasons for avoiding the study of Bible prophecy. “There are too many interpretations,” “I don’t need it to live my everyday life.” Yet, the Lord invites us to look into such things. Revelation 1:3 “Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near”.
We do not want to be like the religious people Jesus admonished.
‘When evening comes, you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red,'” “and in the morning, ‘Today it will be stormy, for the sky is red and overcast.’ You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times.”

Duke of Manhattan (The Royals Book 2)
by Louise Bay
4.5 Stars (3,011 Reviews)
Genre: Contemporary Fiction | Romance

FREE for a limited time

My family are fighting over who’s the next Duke of Fairfax. The rules say it’s me — if I’m married. It’s not a trade-off worth making. I could never limit myself to just one woman.

Or so I thought until my world is turned upside down. Now, the only way I can save the empire I built is to inherit the title I’ve never wanted — so I need a wife.

To take my mind off business I need a night that’s all pleasure. I need to bury myself in a stranger.

The skim of Scarlett King’s hair over my body as she bends over…
The scrape of her nails across my chest as she screams my name…
The bite of her teeth on my shoulder just as we both reach the edge…
It all helps me forget.

I just didn’t bargain on finding my one-night stand across the boardroom table the next day. Scarlett’s making a business proposal. I’ve got more interest in a (fake) marriage proposal.

A sexy, standalone romance.

“Before we knew each other, we knew each other, we didn’t speak to one another, yet we spoke to one another, we hadn’t met, but we had known each other this whole time; and in our start, we completed each other with the void that was meant for each other our whole lives” The Oracles of Our Stars is a poetry book about the fate of all true lovers. As a book of poems, it is a romantic and spiritual collection which ultimately points to that love which goes out to find us when we are not looking for it.

Murder at the Opera House (A Lady Marjorie Snellthorpe Mystery)
by Dawn Brookes
4.4 Stars (457 Reviews)
Genre: Holidays | Mystery

FREE for a limited time

A night at the opera ends in murder. Lady Marjorie will need to be at her razor-sharp best… Lady Marjorie Snellthorpe reluctantly agrees to accompany her irritating cousin-in-law, Edna Parkinton on an organised tour, starting in Romania.

Looking for rest and relaxation after their last trip ended up as a murder investigation, things don’t quite go to plan. Edna is pleased when they encounter Horace Tyler from their previous holiday and Marjorie believes she has found a new friend in Frederick Mackworth.

Their peace is shattered when they meet an argumentative and annoying sextet, including a petulant diva. This is made worse when the whole party is detained in Cluj-Napoca after a body is discovered at the end of their night at the opera.

The death of one among their company raises questions about who might have wanted to kill the seemingly unpopular diva, Dolores Hagman. With a plethora of suspects, Marjorie and Edna lock horns while trying to discover who was responsible.

It appears the dead woman’s friends and family are more interested on continuing with their holiday than finding a killer. With each harbouring secrets they would rather remain untold, Marjorie and her pensioner pals have their work cut out.

Can Marjorie get to the bottom of a troubling murder without killing her cousin-in-law and ending up in a Romanian jail?

Murder at the Opera House is the first in a rollicking new series. Don’t be fooled by the ages of this quartet. They mean business…

If you like determined sleuths, jaw-dropping surprises, and detailed investigative work, you’ll love this humorous group of pensioners.

War of 1812: A History From Beginning to End
by Hourly History

War of 1812

In 1812, Americans held two distinctly different visions of their country. Some saw growing production, manufactures, trade, and merchant ships traversing the globe bringing a vast array of staple and luxury goods to commercial centers and riches to American captains living in cities like the capitals of Europe. Others saw a vast agrarian paradise spreading from the eastern coast into the western wilderness where innumerable American farmers and their families could be independent and equal, free of government impediments and corruption. These incompatible visions of America were held by two opposing political parties. The two halves of America also had incompatible views on the necessity of war that year. Only the Democratic-Republicans were anxious to march into Canada, seize Florida, and take all the western lands they could win or negotiate. Canada survived, but the indigenous peoples, despite their prodigious efforts to get a voice at the peace treaty table, failed to preserve their cultures, as they foresaw would happen.

Inside you will read about…

War Hawks and Neutrality
Declaration and Reaction
The Campaign of 1812 and 1813
1814: War in the Balance
Final Conflict and Peace
And much more!

Discover how shifting political ideologies shaped the path forward to 1812 and beyond.
